thumb hovering over the 'send' button nervously, a small shaky sigh escaped kang minseo's lips. was this the right choice? would things be better this way? the lass didn't know.

but she sure as hell hoped it would.

from the start, her relationship with kim taehyung never really worked out; their relationship seemed to be on and off. one minute, they would be enjoying each other's company; smiling and laughing at sweet nothings, and the next minute they'd be fighting; arguing over pointless nothings. yes, fights like these were considered normal and almost healthy for relationships, but minseo's had enough.

the girl blinked, biting her bottom lip a little as she finally let her thumb make contact with her cracked phone screen to press the 'send' button before her almost immediately.

let's break up

the thought of ever using those three simple words together — let alone say it to the taehyung — never really crossed her mind. those three words were enough to break someone's heart, doubt everything they did, and question. question what they did wrong. ask themselves what made the other feel this way. if someone were to utter those three words to her, she knew she'd break down completely. but in the end, it depended on how significant the other person was to minseo. and in this case, she wasn't even sure about how kim taehyung felt about her. minseo, on the other hand, knew exactly how she felt for him.

she fell for his looks.

it was only his looks anyway; she was attracted to the boy's irresistible rectangular box smile and jawdropping body build. his low, raspy voice never failed to make her knees weak and her heart flutter. but that was before; that was a long time ago.

she was young, and considered her meeting with him to be love at first sight. cliche, yes, but could you blame her? the boy, in almost everyone's eyes, was practically a model; kim taehyung was literally a living doll.

and that was all there was to the boy.

but as time went on, the girl's feelings slowly subsided; disappeared. his feelings, however, grew stronger. much, much stronger than before. heck, minseo was taken aback over how much taehyung loved her. in her eyes, the boy was basically a dog; following her wherever she went, obeying her every command. kang minseo would be lying if she said she didn't kind of enjoy this.

in the end, she decided taehyung deserved better; taehyung needed better. honestly, she didn't even know what made the boy fall for her. was it because of her looks, too? her personality wasn't all that perfect, in her opinion. the girl wasn't flawless, but she did consider herself decent-looking. but not decent enough to actually have living-doll kim taehyung fall for her this hard. she couldn't believe it, him falling for her like this and her not feeling the same way. she felt numb; no spark, no electricity running through her veins, no nothing.

and she wished taehyung wouldn't be too affected by her choices. she hoped.

lost in her own thoughts, minseo's phone suddenly vibrated in her nervous, anticipating hands. her fingers fumbled as she turned her phone on to check whatever made her phone vibrate like that. a message from taehyung, perhaps?

minseo's eyes widened in shock, feeling as if the world just started to crumble apart.
