Suzuno sighed. 'Great... I'm practicing by myself yet again.' He thought miserably. He kicked the checkered ball with little effort and started walking down the field. 'It was nice to get another chance at life but...' He stopped, and looked up at the dusky sky- the ball rolling away from him slightly. 'Why did it cost me so dearly?' He was referring to Nagumo at that point.

See, before Fire Dragon, they were the best of friends. Sure, they didn't act like best friends and they did fight a lot, but they still remained friends. They went through it all- Alia Academy, Chaos and their own respective teams... The world had hated them by the end of it. So, they went into hiding, believing that no one would want them or anything. The world was cold and dark to them for a little while.  That is, until Aphrodi came and offered them forward positions on Fire Dragon. Then everything started to become okay again. They had forgotten what is was like to smile. They had forgotten what is was like to laugh. And most importantly, they had forgotten what is was like to experience happiness. As this continued, Suzuno almost felt as if it was too good to be true..... And he was right. After several months of happiness, there just had to be a negative component to downplay Suzuno's joy. And that negative thing was none other than Aphrodi himself. Aphrodi had been stealing Nagumo away from him more and more each day, and soon enough, Nagumo slowly started to forget Suzuno.

Now, Suzuno certainly didn't want to blame Aphrodi and he certainly didn't want to feel jealous or hurt...but he did anyway. He felt as if Aphrodi had stolen his best friend away. They, Nagumo and Aphrodi, had started spending more time with each other. They started practicing a hissatsu together (without Suzuno). They started spending more time with each other at school and at lunch time. Oh, and get this- every time Susuno had tried talking to Nagumo, Nagumo would just brush him off and run off to do 'things'.

'What did I do to deserve this..?' Suzuno thought deeply and darkly one day, as he sat on one of the benches on the roof of the school. It was lunch time and Suzuno would always be up there, doing homework or reading a book. Today, he was doing his math homework so he didn't have to do it at home. 'Maybe I'm just not meant to be happy, I wonder..?' He sighed, as he wrote down an answer in his math notebook.

'What do I have to do to be happy?'
