I woke up to Elli mumbling and tossing and turning. She mumbled my name like she was in pain or something. I shake trying to get her to wake up but only to start her to struggle against my hold. I kept calling out her name finally getting fear of what she was dreaming of worrying about her.
Finally she woke up with a cold sweat forming on her body. I brought her up to my body whispering I was hear comforting her while she clung to me crying. After a while of rocking her she quieted down a bit but I kept hold of her in my arms.
"What happened Elli?" I ask worriedly.
"I dreamt you left me to protect me and when you walked away somebody took you away and that person put you through hell and it felt so real!!" she said starting to cry again softly.
"I will never leave you! That's selfish but I don't care. I love you and I wouldn't ever give you up!" I say determinely.
I pulled her back into my arms and just held her for a while. After a while a knock sounded on our door, i put the now sleeping Elli under the blanket and left to go to the door. I opened it to see Ticci Toby and Nikki.
"Hey Masky!!" Nikki says.
"Hey Nikki."
"So Masky is she ready yet?"
"No, Toby. She is not ready for her first kill yet." I say.
"Oh," Nikki said disappointed, "Well then I can't wait for it to be soon. she is going to just love it!!"
"I know, I know. Now go so Elli can rest without you waking her up. " Masky says and closes the door in their faces.
He walks over to the bed and sees Elli moving frantically in the bed feeling for him. He quickly got into the bed and she went back to being calm and rested her head on his chest and sigh deeply.
After a while of hearing Elli breathing Masky fall into a deep and peaceful sleep.
