ANTHONY
Everything was black. My whole body felt like floating, like I'm being lifted by air.
Suddenly, a spark of light peaked through the dark abyss. I tried floating to it. I held my hand out as if it was just in arms reach.
That's when it closed. It was dark again. My body felt heavier. I felt like falling.
I could see the ground waiting to be smashed with my face. I closed my eyes shut, awaiting the impact of the cold ground.
I opened my eyes and sat up straight. I was sweating rapidly. I looked to where I was, I was still in the empty street. I got up on my feet and walked home.

I woke up from my sleep. I looked at my hands, they look pale. I walked to my bathroom.
I look like a mess. I was as pale as a ghost. And my eyes... Instead of being brown they were green. My gaze shifted to my neck, there were two small dots.
My hand travelled through my hair due to frustration and I walk to the shower.
~ let's skip that part ~
I went out of the shower, my towel hung on my waist as I made way to my room to change.
I slipped on a pair of black skinny jeans and a grey Rolling Stones t-shirt. I styled my hair up and grabbed my bag.
I walked to school, not saying a word to my mom.
The weather was sunny today. The sun hurts my skin as it came contact with it.
I flinched at it. It didn't hurt that bad so I just continued walking.
"You're still here?" My head turned to the voice. It was the same girl from last night.
"What do you want?" I spat at her face.
"Guess you weren't the goody two shoes that I thought." She said a smug look on her face.
"What are you talking about?" I scrunch my nose up in confusion and also in annoyance.
"You're suppose to be dead." She said bluntly. I stared at her. "When you were unconscious. Did by any chance you saw a spark of light in the dark?" I slowly nodded my head. "You were supposed to be dead. That was the gates of heaven." She said, crossing her arms on her chest.
"Why wasn't I taken?"
"Simple, you're returned." She said.
"What's that?" She looked from side to side.
"Not here, there's many people that might hear us. Come with me." She held my hands and dragged me to a dark alley.
She opened a door of a building and went inside. She dragged me to another door. She grabbed her keys and opened it. She pushed me inside and soon came inside as well. And sat on a chair.
"So, what did you want to know?" She asked.
"What does being 'Returned' mean?" I asked.
"Being returned is being rejected by heaven and escaping hell. Which means you have to walk the Earth." She stated. I nodded my head. "Being returned is also a kind of vampire. There are two kinds of vampires. One is the Returned and the other is Born." She continued. "The Returned is the kind of vampire where, you are bitten by one. If you lived a life of goodwill then heaven will accept you. But if not, then you have to walk the Earth for eternity. Like you." She said pointing at me. "And the Vampire Born are the ones that have one or both parents that are vampires. They have the venom stuck to their veins. But it takes time to make the human blood disappear. It usually takes 18 years to become a full vampire if you're a Vampire Born." She explained. "Any other question?"
