Lupus waited...and waited...and waited for Canis to show up at the pines. It was sunset, the time that they were supposed to meet, but where was she? He sniffed the ground for her scent, maybe she was here early and he wasn't there so she left? No. The only thing he could smell of her were just scattered scents from yesterday's encounter.

He sighed and sat down again, starting to wonder, Maybe she didn't show up for a reason? Maybe she doesn't love me back...

NO, LUPUS SHE JUST GOT WOLFNAPPED SO YOU HAVE TO GO AND SAVE HER, DUH. ;)

He got up again, and trudged through the thick pine trees, his white coat brushing against each of them, Maybe she got lost? Oh come on, Lupus. It's obvious that she doesn't want to show up, 'cause I've been waiting and waiting for her.

He growled and pushed through the last of the trees, into a massive clearing in which had a hill in the middle of it. Maybe he could get a better look of the forest from atop it?

He scaled the hill and once he reached the top, he did a wide scope of the area. Nothing, just like he thought-but wait. Her scent was scattered around here, a recent scent. She must've been on this hill.

Maybe she does want me.

He sniffed around for a scent trail. He smelled her, but he also smelled a *he shuttered* a wolf from Timberpack. Timberpack wolves were always rough and tough. No mercy, that's what those big wolves gave. But, even though they were big and mean, their territory never had enough prey to feed them that much, so if they didn't wanna starve, they had to scavenge in the other pack's territory.

So, if Canis came in contact with this wolf...she could be in grave danger.

She'll need my help.

It was then that he found Canis's scent at the bottom of the hill, her scent was blank, which meant that she was knocked out...by that wolf. Lupus growled deeply, and traced the kidnapper's scent over to the oaks, the deepest part of the forest. Timberpack's territory.

He huffed and followed the scent into the dark forest, the midday light lit it up well enough for him to see everything, but the fog counteracted it, and made the shadows even darker, like little black-holes going to swallow him up. Timberpack wolves were midnight black, so they could easily creep up on him, and that would be the end for Lupus.

He crouched down and slowly stalked the scent, hoping that Canis was ok. After a while of this, he finally heard a faint order in the distance, a deep voice boomed, "No, not like that, you clouded idiot!" and "Is it me, or are you the worst camouflager EVER?!" Lupus got close enough to hear everything, and hid behind a thick tree, listening.

"I'm trying," a different tone complained, "But if I can't help you get back at your pack, why don't YOU just do it?" Yup. Definitely Canis. He could tell but, how was he going to save her?

"I cannot simply WALK IN THERE. I'm an Outclaw," the other wolf explained. Lupus realized that the wolf whom had captured Canis was either kicked out of his pack,

"Well, that's not MY FAULT." Lupus laughed inside his head, he loved the way Canis was brave enough to speak up, but she couldn't for long. He needed to strike now.

Lupus straightened himself, positioned correctly, and when the Timberpack wolf collapsed in frustration, Lupus pounced on him. The wolf yelped in fright, as Lupus dug his claws into his midnight black fur. Lupus held back, but then quickly lunged for his opponents's back legs and bit on one. The wolf howled with pain, and leaped off of Lupus, and scampered off into the forest, leaving Canis and Lupus alone.

"Wow," Canis got out as she examined his wounds. They stained his white pelt a scarlet red and they stung badly, but he wasn't going to show fear towards an Outclaw, which were usually starved and weak. This one wasn't though...odd.

"It's OK," Lupus said, (while grunting in pain.)

"It's NOT OK," Canis choked at him, and for the first time ever, they met each other's eyes. Lupus pulled away from her gaze, he didn't want to make it obvious that she was the reason that he rescued her.
