getting to know one another

Emily's pov

My dad and erin have just left for their run and I am going to text some friends that I haven't seen since I left my school.

Time skip

It had been about 30 minutes since I text some old friends but they are all to busy to talk at the minuit so I am just texting james.

( J - james and E - emily

E-Heyyy babe I miss you sooo much

J-hey babe I miss you to when can we meet up again?

E-how about tomorrow lunch?

J-yeah that's fine with me I will pick you up from urs? That good?

E-yh that's fine babe

J-what do u wanna do then?

E-how about we just go back 2 urs and watch a couple movies?

J-thats fine with me babe

I hear the front door open and my dad and erin saying that was a good run and I know my dad has accepted that me and James are dating but I don't wanna bring it up just in case it turns into an argument again.

E-Heyyy my dad and erin just got back and we r gonna do some getting 2 know each other so cya tomoz alright xx.

J - alright babe have fun and I love u xx

E-will do and love u 2 xx

My dad and erin walk into the room then.

"Hey sweetie" my dad said to me as he sat down next to me and erin sat next to him.

"Hey how was your run" I asked them

"It was really good yeah" my dad said as erin nodded in agreement

"Ok so what you up to" my dad asked me

"Nothing really all my friends are to busy to talk at the moment so I just spoke to james briefly" I said to my dad and I know I said I wasn't going to mention it but I just wanted to make sure he had accepted the fact that me and James are dating.

"Oh alright then did you arrange anything" my dad asked me and I know it's the cop in him asking.

"Yeah we are gonna meet up tomorrow at noon and go back to his and watch a couple of movies" I said back I mean what's the point in lying he will find out aventually.

"Alright but be carful " my dad said to me with a serious face and I knew that comment had more than one meaning.

"I will" I replied with a role of my eyes.

"Alright well let's play a game and in this game we go around say in a circle and say one thing about yourself that someone doesn't know" erin said with a smile and I had to admit it was a good idea.

"Cool" I said

"Good idea and as it was your idea you go first" my dad said with a smirk on his face.

"Ok well.....when I was a teenager I used to get into a lot of trouble and by a lot I mean A LOT" erin said while looking at me with a serious face.

I could tell ny dad knew the whole story as he just had that look on his face.

"Ok my turn" my dad said with a smile.

"When I was a kid u used to run around the park shouting my pants are on fire and I used to pretend they were" my dad said with an embarrassed look on his face.

"OMG glad I didn't take after you then in that aspect of my life" I said while laughing and erin was too.

"Ok em ur turn" my dad said to me.

And I felt like I could trust my dad and erin so much and that they wouldn't go and tell everyone my secrets unless I say it's ok and that's why I have decided to tell them this....

"Well emmmmm......when I was 13 some radom person walked up to me when I was walking home from school and asked me for some change and I said I didn't have any sorry and at this point the man looked angry and before I could react the guy had grabbed me and dragged me down an alley way and ripped my clothes off and I knew what was about to happen but then I heard someone shout HEY LET HER GO and I looked behind the man that had grabbed me and saw another man and he tackled the guy to the ground and beat him until he was unconcious and called the police and told him where the man was and walked me home and made sure I was alright and left and I haven't seen him since" I finished my long story with a few tears sliding down my face and I quickly wiped them away and when I look at my dad and erin they looked close to tears to and that set me off again and we were all crying together and my dad came and embraced me in a hug.

"I'm so sorry emily" my dad wispered.

I pulled away from him at that moment and looked him in the eyes......"don't be it wasn't your fault and nothing happened thanks to that mysterious man who saved me" I said with a smile.

"I'm over it anyway its behind me" I said as I wiped my dad's tears away.

"You know you can come to me and your dad if you ever need anything or just need to talk we will always be here for you em" erin said to me as she hugged me to.

"Yh I know and thanks but can we not talk about it cuz I'm over it" I said with a smile as my tears subsided

"Alright and wow it's already 9:30pm come on let's have an early night me and erin have work tomorrow and you are coming with" my dad said as he got up and kissed my head.

"Alright" I said as I got up off the floor and went and got ready for bed.

Time skip

I just climbed into bed when erin knocked on my door and walked in and sat on the edge of my bed.

"Hey what's up?" I asked her

"Just wanted to come say night and say thankyou for sharing what you did with me and your dad tonight it means a lot to your dad and me to" erin said with a smile as she got up and walked towards the door.

"Hey erin" I whispered.

"Yh" she turned to look at me.

"Your family" I said as I turned over and turned off the lamp and closed my eyes but before I did I saw erin smile and walk out of my room.

Hey everyone just wanted to say sorry I haven't updated in a while it has just been so hectic at the minute that I haven't had the time but I hope to update more often and plz plz plz comment what you think because it welcome any kind of feedback and I would like to know what you think and what you want me to do further on in the book and I also need you to look back a few chapters and send me what you think for a new character because I'm not gonna add a character unless I know what you guys are looking for in this person so please comment what you think.
