Carrie settled down in her cool ruffled covers in her bed, and brought out her book. "The Legend of Stellarca Manori." she mumbled. She was a real reader, and for her age, now nearly 17, she still loved the wonder and mystery of a good ol' fantasy story. She opened it up, and slowly turned the tea stained pages, and ran her finger across the water-blurred words. As she read, she felt drawn to the book, like real life, like she could see pictures that weren't there, hear voices that were never there. An earth, never meant to quake, but it was. To her, the whole world was shut out as she fell through the torn pages, and onto unknown soil, on an unknown land...

"OH!" she yelped as she hit the ground. It was covered in mounds of pink autumn leaves. She looked up and around, and saw she was in a forest. Streams of light burst through the trees and lit up particular parts of the woodland area she lay on her knees in. She looked down and found herself wearing her nightclothes still, an oversized -shirt that was her dads before he passed at 57, when she was just 5 years old. She had her Disney mickey mouse pyjama bottoms and Bambi slippers. (As you may tell she was kind of a Disney fan. Just a little bit!.). Even though there was no one for, from what she could see, miles around, she felt secretly embarrassed as she was in her pyjamas, her crazy, curly, blonde hair all over her face, in such a beautiful landscape. She could see bright green hills and a small church cathedral on the furthest hill. In a clearing by the woods she saw a gravel walkway, grass either side, and a wooden fence lining it. The path fell until further than she could see.
