A Marriage On Thanksgiving

Chapter 10 - The Answer

    Serena's body fell to the floor right before me. I saw a knife in her back. The Devil and Kilee were behind her and had a smug smile on there face. The Devil took the knife out and went for me. "Honey! Don't do it dad!" John shouted. The Devil stabbed me and I fell to the ground next to Serena and my eyes fell shut. I could hear John telling his mom and dad to get out. I had never heard him say so many cuss words.
     His body weight fell on me." Satan stop. I'm fine"I said as I got up." No I'm hallucinating, you're not alive. You were just stabbed by my father". "And your point is..." I dragged on the word. I got up with the help of John. The minister suddenly spoke" One more thing. Does anyone have any objections?"he was quivering in fright. Satan threw his hand in the air and looked back at Kilee. I stared in disbelief she didn't raise her hand, she didn't object to our marriage." Kilee why aren't you raising your hand?"the Devil questioned." I don't think its the right thing to do and every time I see them touching each other, it seems right!"she shouted." Plus didn't my mom have a problem with our marriage!"she continued on. Satan stepped forward a baby step and had a look of disbelief on his perfectly angled face.
    "My grandmother.....had...a problem with your MARRIAGE!?!?" John shouted. Kilee nodded with a sorry look on her face. Satan stepped forward again but I grabbed his hand and pulled him back slowly, part of a marriage is that you have to protect one another, and right now I was protecting everyone from seeing something they didn't want to see. His chest popped in and out, his smooth lips in a tight line. I started to hyperventilate." Satan. I am having a few pains in my stomach. They aren't soft. It hurts really, REALLY bad"I looked around for something to grab hold of- other than my stomach. Satan gripped me as my mind started to blur, and I saw rainbow strips around peoples bodies.
      "Alena, honey, I know what it is. It is just the baby moving" he had his hand on mine. I was on the floor." That should not be what I am feeling"I got up carefully.
                                            A few days later...
   I woke up in my bed, under the covers. I looked around, my eyes searching for Satan. I found a note next to me.

  Babe. I left for a little bit. Just to clear my head, sort things out. You don't have to worry. Nothing will happen to me. I can't say what I am doing, specifically. I am terribly sorry. I have you in my heart.❤ I just can't be around right now. Something happened at our special event when you fell.😘

     What had happened? I got out of the bed in a rush. My phone was on the dresser but I detoured when I fell - for like the one millionth time - on my clothes, spread across the floor. I tried to remember any peculiar things that I had seen or heard before I fell. My phone was in my hand and I started to type.
Me: Satan where r u? I need an explanation! U can't just run off and leave me here - married babe
Satan: I told u I can't tell u where I am - married babe
Me: Satan we just married each other! U promised 2 tell me all of the things u do - married babe
Satan: *sigh* fine. U got me there. I am at the police station at the front desk arguing with Chief Droyt about what happened at the wedding - married babe
Me: why couldn't u tell me that?! What happened at the wedding?! And u HAVE 2 tell me - married babe
Satan: well the cops came because somebody called them and they saw u on the floor with me beside u. I can't keep texting. I won't be much longer - married babe
      I sighed and put the phone down. I thought about what I could do and my mind put an image I didn't want to have. Satan was behind silver bars. I felt something throw a punch and a few kicks in my stomach. My mouth held back a voice of pain for a split second but had to release it. I shouted "Satan" at the top of my lungs as many times as I could. He came as if I had called him on my phone. As he say me falling to the floor again he froze. I could only continue screaming. "SATAN I NEED TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL!!!" I screamed but my eyes again fluttered shut.
  
      Could I be having the baby?
