Moonlight sweeps across the rough, damp, gravel road. Loose roads get lodged into the bottom of my old, torn, converse shoes as I drag my feet behind me like heavy sacks. The dark grey, shifting clouds drop their crystal clear tears on me. Bowing my head the rain gets heavier, soaking my clothes. My dark, razor cut hair, that was once styled before is soaked and drapped over my face. A cool breeze burges in making me shiver more than what i already have been.
Thoughts fill my mind as I walk these empty streets to reach to door to my house. The door creeked when I barley pushed it open with the palm of my hand. I remained quiet as I walked in and shut the smooth, wooden door back, then locked it. All the lights were out. The only light that was given was the street light that shined through the window, dimming up the room.
I figured my parents were asleep so i didn't make a noise as i crawled up the carpet covers stairs. Each stair creeked slightly as i tip-toed up them. By the time i reached the top of the steps, i heard shuffling. It started to sound like it was coming from my room. Curiously, i walked down the hall to come to find that the door to my room was cracked open and a dim glow came from my lamp, making it bright enough for anyone to be able to see.
Causiously, I creep over to the door grabbing a dull, bronze candle stick holder on the way. When the doors close enough to reach, I barley push it open with my finger tips. I peek into my room. A gasp escapes my slightly parted lips as my eyes widen. The door opened a bit more on it's own revealing what seems to be a man in a white, blood stained hoodie, and black skinny jeans that have been torn at the knees.
He has his head down shuffling through my dresser drawers; I wondered what exactly he was looking for and why is he here looking for it? I began backing away towards my parents room, slowly, until the floor creeked. I closed my eyes tightly hoping this mysterious man didn't hear, but he did. He lifted his head up looking around my room. His appearance made my lose my breath for a moment. His razor cut, black hair, hung over one of his eyes; his eyes were white with black pupils, yet his eyes were bordered by what seemed to be black burn marks; lastly his mouth. His mouth had cuts from both corners making a devilish smile across his pale pigmented face. Driy blood ran down from his carved in smile which made his appearance more fearful.
I covered my mouth keeping myself frlm breathing so heavy from hyperventilating. He went back to shuffling through my stuff and that's when I set the candle stick holder down onto the table near, quietly. I looked back into my room and he was gone.
"Oh my God.." I whispered to myself before walking towards my room with causion and opening the door all the way.
'Who was bag man? And why was he here? Better yet, where did he even go? '
Those questions, along with many more, never left my mind as I searched around my room. His facial appearance was haunting my mind as I tried thinking of something else. I just shocked my head and sat on my bed.
"Maybe this is all a ..bad dream?" I didn't know what else to think. I just laid back on my overly cushioned bed and drifted off to sleep.
