Chapter 2

Kiara's pov

School was over in a few hours. I spotted Mia and Chloe in front of the school building.

I went a bit closer and heard what they were saying, they were talking about some new hot teacher. How hormonal can these girls get?? I shook my head smiling to myself and joined the conversation.

"Hey!" I exclaimed brightly.

"Hi Kia, did you see our new hot teacher??" Mia asked jumping.

"Um..no, what subject does he handle?" I wondered.

"he's our new English teacher. Mrs. Kadence disappeared in the most mysterious way possible." Chloe said spookily.

Mia sighed dreamily "anyway, she did us all a favor by letting such a hot guy be our teacher."

I frowned, Mrs. Kadence was a sweet person, she used to bake cookies for me during the holidays mainly because she was close to my mother, they were really good friends, she might know what happened to her. I made a mental note to ask my mom about her.

We said our goodbyes and parted ways, I just started walking towards my house when someone shouted.

"Kiara! Stop, wait!"

I saw Aaron running towards me.

I totally forgot , Shit! I am very forgetful, I inwardly face palmed myself. But WHY should I wait for him, when he freaking treated me like that! He never waited for me to answer, that was an order, he was way too polite for my own good. Note the sarcasm.

"Where are you going? I asked you to come home with me . We need to start our project." he said catching his breath. He looked absolutely breathtaking as always, I inwardly swooned but tried to maintain my composure. His hair was a bit messy after school, but it just added to his assets. I found myself getting lost in his chocolate brown eyes so I closed my eyes for a second to compose myself and opened my eyes to find him waiting patiently for an answer.

"Well, you didn't ASK but you ordered, I don't like people ordering me around" I said narrowing my eyes.

His eyebrows rose in amusement. "I'm sorry?" he said slowly giving me his puppy dog eyes and a cute pout, my insides melted, I mean how can someone be so cute!!! Uughh!! What is wrong with me, why am I doing it again?!!

"Now please get in my car, will you?" smile slightly evident in his face.

"That's much better" I said smiling.

He had a black mercedes, I just stood there in awe taking in the beauty of the car. I wasn't allowed to get a car till my 18th birthday but look at this spoiled kid, I am so jealous right now.

"Well, as much as I would love for you to stand here and gawk at my car all day long, we need to get a project done."

I realized how stupid I must've looked by just gaping at his car like that, I scoffed and got in, the insides were more beautiful than the exterior.

Aaron got inside and started the car.

"Wow... it's fantastic" I said still in a daze. I am a sucker for cars and mainly for sexy cars like these.

"I know right, I got this as my 16th birthday gift last year" he said.

"you're really lucky ,you know that? I should wait for 2 more years to get my own car" I whined. He gave me a side glance and chuckled. Then I started looking out the window as it got pretty silent, so he turned on the radio. I was suddenly full of energy when I heard the familiar melody play in the car. 'thousand years' by Cristina Perry started playing, I absentmindedly started humming to the melody and at the end of the song I realised that I was singing along.

After the song was over, Aaron looked at me in surprise. "What?" I asked feeling self concious.

"Nothing, it's just that you sing really well, that's all" he said blinking.

I laughed "Ok, so how are we gonna start the project?" I asked distracting the topic away from me as I don't know how to respond to compliments without looking like an awkward mess.

"I don't know, you tell me" he said. We discussed on how we were going to do the project on the way to his house. He parked in front of this huge mansion.

I was awestruck again. We got out, Aaron led me inside the huge mansion, it looked very elegant, the ceiling was covered with a huge chandelier, the floor was covered with a cream coloured carpet and the walls were adjourned with expensive paintings. To put it in easier words, it looked like the insides of the buckingham palace.

I've never felt so out of place before in my life.

Aaron looked back and said "follow me, don't roam around or you might get lost in the house."

I nodded my head and followed obediently.

He led me to the first floor into a room.

This room looked more modern and sophisticated. The walls were cream and the furniture was all in tones of Grey and black. There was a huge king size bed in the middle with white sheets and a light grey comforter.

"Is this your room? I asked stupidly. Ofcourse silly!! It was his room.

"Yeah, nice?" he asked me smiling.

I nodded with a smile too, god his smile was contagious.

"It's beautiful " I said awestruck. Ugh I'm pretty sure I seem like an idiot right now.

He nodded his head and said "it's like this only because there are people to clean it, or else it would look like it was struck by a storm."

I laughed at that.

After a few more seconds of admiration, I noticed that he was looking at me.

I cleared my throat and said "let's get to work".

"Right" he said and looked a little bit flushed?

Am I imagining things?

He got out his macbook pro. After 2 hours, we completed the project and only the explaining part was left, which was individual work.

"So...What do we do now?" I asked

"I could leave you in your house or... we could just talk for sometime." he said looking at me sideways.

I just considered staying for a bit since I wasn't in a hurry...and I could get used to being this close with him.

"Ok then, why did you choose ME out of all the others?" I asked curiously.

"Because... you have good grades and you do have a good reputation among the teachers. So, I thought you could teach me something" he said.

"Oh..." I said disappointed and frowned.

He pulled his hair in frustration "God!! OK look, the real reason I asked you to do this project with me is because, I also wanted help in something else, something important" he said seriously.

"What is it? How can I help you?" I asked confused and still frowning.
