Our duty to die (Poem)

Woohoo! I did it! My second poem guys!!! This is a short war poem

"Let's go, let's go!"

"Repeat what we saw!"

"Follow the silver ball!"

"We must reach out goal!"

Bellowed the leaders

We could all guess

That we were setting foot in

The valley of death

But our courage wasn't flung in the bin

Gleaming gems were thrown from the sky

It was nearly our cue to die

Beads of tension and sweat

At our foreheads

Cotton balls moving like a jet

We have nearly reached devils bed

All of a sudden

We were there

We didn't know

How we could bare

the evil threats of death

Silence...piercing out ears

"We can do this - don't give in to fears!"

commanded the leaders

The golden disk rose from behind the green lump

The horn blew, making us jump

It had begun

Our cue was the sun

We separated quickly

The enemies did the same

We clinked and clanked the shiny metal

Leaving bright, blinding beams.

A period of time later

We saw the crimson balloon sink

We saw that we had reached victory

It was that moment

When I felt a spasm of pain

A stab revealing

That this was my last moment of life

I hit the hard ground with grace

Without a sound

I sank into a deep sleep
