The Truth about Kagome

            "You're a what Kagome...I wanna know..." She took a deep breath as he glared at her, she then revealed the choker she had been hiding under her shirt, it was a black choker with chains on the side that connected to a moon. " This choker hides my secret...it changes into a different gem or crystal depending on the day, or the night i should say.." He noticed the moon looked like an opal at the moment. " Why is an opal?" She smiled. " It means that it's a crescent moon tonight and I won't be needing to leave again till tomorrow" He nodded then asked her again. " You never told me what you actually are..." She sighed and finally told him. "I'm a very rare kind...there are very few of me...I-I'm a Hybrid..." His eyes went wide. "I- I've heard of hybrids...What kind of hybrid are you..." She looked away, she hated what kind she was, and she looked back at him with regret in her eyes. " I'm vampire and werewolf hybrid...and I'm apart of the royal family...My mom was a werewolf queen and my dad the king of vampires... It's funny how my three older siblings are purebreds...I'm sorry Inuyasha..." It was one of those few times where Inuyasha would smile, and pulled her into a comforting embrace. " You have nothing to be sorry for...Kagome...Now I have something important to tell you...But...It can wait till tomorrow night...Get some rest" She nodded, climbed into her bed and fell asleep.

         Morning came and Inuyasha was woke up early, went to the sacred tree, and sat on one of it's branches. 'How am I going to tell her...She told me her's why can't I tell her mine!' He sighed and heard his demon talking again. * You're a whimp that's why, just get up the courage and tell her before I decide to take over and do it myself!* Inuyasha growled. ' Fine I will when she wakes up...I mean...It is her birthday...And the day we met three years ago, she's eighteen now, but can I bring myself to do it...I'd better before anything bad happens...' He got up and jumped down to find Kagome standing in front of him. " So this is where you went Inuyasha, I was worried when I didn't see you." Kagome smiled. "Sorry...I didn't mean to worry you..." She giggled and nodded. " So umm what did you need to tell me?" He shook his head. "You'll have to wait till tonight to find out" He smiled at her and she just pouted. "Fine...Oh I wad wondering if I can go to my time for about a few hours...Please..." He sighed and nodded. "Just make sure you bring me ramen, okay?" She nodded, kissed his cheek, and ran off toward the well.

       "Mom I'm home!...Hello?" She looked around and saw a note on the kitchen table. It said 'Dear Kagome, Sorry we weren't here if  came home to read this. We will be back in two weeks, and all I know is Inuyasha came by and said he had a surprise for you Love you, Love, Mom, Souta, and Grandpa.' Kagome growled under her breath then reread the part about a surprise. " I wonder what he's got planned...?" She shrugged and decided to take a shower. After her shower she decided to wear a black shirt that was long sleeve but the shoulders were cut so it showed the shoulder, a black and red plad skirt, and knee high flat bottomed shoes. As she was brushing her now dry hair she heard a knock at the window, and there was Inuyasha and the sun was almost starting to set. She opened the window. "You ready Kagome?" She nodded and he picked her up bridal style and jumped out the window and down the well.

         As soon as the were out of the well he told her to let him blindfold her and lead her somewhere, she nodded with a smile because she trusted him. He led her back to the place they met. "Are you ready to see your surprise Kagome?" She nodded again, and he took the blindfold off. There under the tree was candles looking like they were flouting and  the ground had a ring of rose petals. "Inuyasha this is...amazing...I love it! What's all this for?" He laughed. "Two reasons, one, happy birthday, and two, it's the day we met..." She smiled. " Thank you fordoing this Inuyasha!" He led her into the middle of the ring. "Kagome we've been together for three years now and...you've been my best friend and stuck by me through it all...So what I'm trying to say is...I...I love y-you Kagome..." They both blushed at his words, and she immediately threw her arms around him and kissed him on the lips like in Kaguya's castle. He was stunned but then kissed her back. " I love you too Inuyasha." He kissed her again. "Kagome I know this is a lot to ask but...will you...be...mine..." He handed her a rose gold ring with a diamond and two rubies on the side, her eyes went wide, he didn't know what to do she just stood there wide eyed. She finally  up and said. "Only if you truly want me...and take me as I am..." He smiled. " I'll always except you..." She smiled. "Yes, I will be yours" He kissed her deeply. The kiss lasted awhile, for them it seemed like they were in their own little world, then they heard growling, and stopped. "How dare you steal my woman!" Kouga growled and Kagome walked over. "I was never yours Kouga...I was always Inuyasha's." Kouga went to attack Inuyasha, but before he hit him with his claws Kagome stepped in front and flew into a near by tree from the impact. "KAGOME!"  Inuyasha said and quickly ran over to her, knowing that Kouga was to shocked to do anything. "Kagome open your eyes, please open your eyes!" He almost started crying when she opened her eyes, they were blood red, but at the same time looked very weak. "You're gonna be okay Kagome...I promise..." He held her close, and she didn't say a word, she then simply got up, lost her balance but managed to get it back, and growled at Kouga. "Kagome I'm so sorry! I..." In a flash she was behind him and dug her now formed claws into his back, he screamed in agony. " Kagome!" She kept beating Kouga and Inuyasha ran over and pulled her away and Kouga managed to get away quickly. Then all of a sudden Kagome collapsed, but Inuyasha managed to catch her, and he looked at her sadly. "I still love you, but you can't do that, it's my job to protect you..." He sighed and carried her back.

      She woke up to find that night had come and she was dying of the thirst for blood. "Damn it, why now...I can't come back smelling like blood, especially after what happened with Kouga..." Kagome whispered to herself trying to not let the half-demon she was laying on hear her. She slowly got up and walked out of the hut, careful not to wake Inuyasha. She ran a few miles away in a matter of minutes, tracking the scent of an animal that was easy to kill. What she didn't know is someone was following close behind her.

       "Where is she going?" He said following her but making sure she didn't smell his scent behind her. When she stopped he had to quickly hide in a tree before she saw him. He saw her eyes close and when she opened them they were blood red. She quickly killed a deer that was in front of her and drank its blood, Inuyasha couldn't watch. When she was done she saw a near by hot spring and walked toward it. She stripped down,slipped into the water, and sighed. "Inuyasha I know you're there..." she glanced at him. " I...uh...I was worried when I woke up and you were gone..." She nodded then looked down. " I'm sorry you had to see that..." He walked over stripped his closes off and got in also, Kagome blushed the whole time, Inuyasha looked at her curiously. "What? Is something wrong? You're all red..." She simply swam over sat on his lap, which made his blush and have a bit of a problem, and kissed him, he purred/growled in the kiss. "God Kagome I...No...Not right now okay? I love you...but I know you know what happens if we do this, will be stuck together for life..." She backed away, looking upset.
