(Is there anything you guys specifically want in this book?)

💁🏽 Natasha 💁🏽

I was lying on my mattress, the sickness on a morning had stopped, thankfully.

I felt drained. I hadn't even done anything. I knew that I needed a pregnancy test, it was becoming obvious to me that it was possible.

I didn't move when the door opened.

The man stood in the doorway was tall with broad shoulders. He walked over to me and crouched next to my body after shutting the door.

"You need nutrients."

I didn't want to eat.

"Natasha, trust me. Drink this, then eat this." The man held out some food and a drink that was a greeny colour.

I shook my head.

"Natasha. I want to help you. Please, just do this for me. Okay?"

I sat up, my body aching with exhaust. I slowly ate the food and drank the drink.

"Come with me, I can help you get a test. Zion isn't here, it's only me making sure you stay down here. They'll be back tomorrow. Let's get you clean, get you warm, and get you comfortable. A'ight?"

I nodded.

The man helped me to my feet, my boney legs barely able to support my body. The man supported me, I held onto him as he took me upstairs to the living room.

We went upstairs and he waited outside the bathroom as I bathed. I took pleasure in feeling clean.

I heard a knock at the door, "Hey, ya want this test or not?"

I climbed out of the bath and wrapped a towel around myself. I got dressed into my scruffy clothes. I let the man in and he gave me the test.

I took the test.

I was pregnant.

Questions swirled in my head. Who's baby was it? What would I do? I couldn't raise a baby in this environment. I could barely survive myself, let alone a frail baby.

"Girl, ya okay?"

"Yeah." I blinked away my tears and walked out of the bathroom. "I should go back to bed."

"A'ight. I'll tell Zion when he gets home, he should be happy if you're carrying his seed."

The man escorted me back to my room. I lay on the mattress, covering my body with the small blanket. I casted my eyes over to him, "What's your name?"

He turned before leaving, "Dominique."
