Helena and Henry Mills were on a bus to Boston, both reading the book on Henry's lap "I'm so gonna kill you when we get back home." Helena muttered to her twin brother as their read the part where Prince Charming wakes up Snow White with a True Love's kiss, "You wouldn't plus I know that you want someone to either wake you up or save you with a True Love's kiss." Henry teased his younger twin sister, Helena blushed deeply and rolled her eyes, "That a good book?" a woman who was on the bus asked "This? It's more than just a book." the twin said in unison , "Oh?" the woman exclaims with a light chuckle.
"Boston, South Station. Thank you for riding Greyhound." the announcement came through the intercom, the Mills twins get out of the bus and look for a taxi "Why did you have to drag me along with you?" Helena asked exasperated, "Because first you're my twin sister, second because she's our real mom and third because you wouldn't let me leave the house, especially not without you we ARE joint to the hip." Henry said with a teasing smirk, it was true, Helena rarely left his side, even their bedrooms were exactly the same and their beds were against each other, meaning that if the wall separating their rooms didn't exist their beds would be pressed against each other. "Uh... You take credit cards?" Henry said as he raises the credit card that he had nicked from their teacher making the brunette girl roll her brown eyes "Where to, chief?" the taxi driver asks.
"Henry she's going to freak!" Helena hissed at her brother, her fists grabbing the hems of her wool coat, "Relax Lena everything is going to be fine." Henry insisted as he knocked on the door, the two looked at each other before the door opened "Uh? Can I help you?" A tall blonde woman asked with a small frown on her face, "Are you Emma Swan?" Henry asked as his little sister grabbed his hand scared, "Yeah. Who are you?" Emma asked raising her brow, "My name's Henry, she's Helena. We're your children." Henry says.
Henry pushes past Emma into the apartment, dragging Helena with her who looks at her biological mom apologetically, "Whoa! Hey, kids! Kids! Kids! I don't have children! Where are your parents?" Emma asks "Ten years ago. Did you give up a pair of twin for adoption? That was us." Henry says, knowing his sister was feeling shy at the moment, even back at home around people who spend all their days with them she was sometimes shy, "Give me a minute." the blonde woman gasps, Helena elbows her brother on the ribs, "Hey, you have any juice? Never mind, found some." Henry shouted before he drank it straight from the bottle.
"You know, we should probably get going." Henry says looking at his biological mother, "Going where?" Emma asks crossing her arms as she looks at her twin children, "We want you to come home with me." Henry says, "Okay, kid. I'm calling the cops." Emma sighs and picks up the phone, "Then I'll tell them you kidnapped us." Henry smirked, "And they'll believe you because I'm your birth mother." Emma sighs, "Yep." Henry beams, "You're not going to do that." Emma says looking at him, "Try me." the young brunette boy says with a cheesy smile .
Helena scoffed lowly at her brother as Emma said "You're pretty good. But here's the thing – there's not a lot I'm great at in life. I have one skill. Let's call it a superpower. I can tell when anyone is lying and you, kid, are." Helena looked at her and smiled a bit, she too had that small gift, "Wait... Please don't call the cops. Please, come home with us." The small girl said, speaking for the first time, as her mother started calling 911, "Where's home?" Emma sighed, "Storybrooke, Maine." the twins answered simultaneously. "Storybrooke? Seriously?" Emma scoffed lowly, Henry hummed as Emma said "Alrighty, then. Let's get you back to Storybrooke."
*Time Skip*
Henry, Helena and Emma were in Emma's car when Helena said "I like your car." Emma smiled at her and saw the girl's eyes shine brightly "I'm hungry. Can we stop somewhere?" Henry asked, "This is not a road trip. We're not stopping for snacks." Emma said annoyed, "Why not?" Henry asked astonished, Emma looked at him a bit and said "Quit complaining, kid. Remember – I could have put your butt on a bus. I still could." Helena laughed and looked at her twin who had shot her a tiny glare, "You know I have a name? It's Henry." Henry told his mother before opening the book he and his sister had been reading earlier. "What's that?" Emma asked her son, "I'm not sure you're ready." Henry said causing Helena to laugh.
"I'm not ready for some fairy tales?" Emma asked incredulous, "They're not fairy tales. They're true. Every story in this book actually happened." Henry defends along with Helena, "Of course they did." Emma muses, "Use your superpower. See if I'm lying." Henry says determent, "Just because you believe something, doesn't make it true." Emma tells them "That's exactly what makes it true. You should know more than anyone." Helena says. "Why's that?" Emma asks confused, "Because you're in this book." Henry answers "Oh, kids. You've got problems." Emma told them, "Yep. And you're going to fix them." Helena and Henry told her cheekily.
