The next day, James and I headed to my room first to pack up. We carried several boxes of various sizes hoping to fit everything in those boxes. We will have to see if I can fit everything in these twenty something boxes. Well it feels like we have twenty boxes. I could be making up the numbers of the boxes. I didn't even count them.
We piled the boxes in the corner of my room that was not being used by anything. I stood there with my hands on my hip wondering how long it was gonna take us to pack up everything. I scanned my room realizing that I had a lot more stuff when I first got here to stay for a while. I might need to get more boxes from the living room. Maybe I should have gotten the twenty boxes. I had piles of books on my desk and various items scattered all over the floor. It even looked like I had clean clothes in a pile next to my desk and there is a bunch in the closet. I turned towards James when he let out a sigh.
"I know. I have more stuff than I realize so that means I need to get rid of some stuff," I grabbed an empty box so we can place the unwanted items in. I quickly wrote on the side of the box not wanting to mistake it for items that need to go over to the apartment. I placed the box on my bed that way it didn't disappear in the mess. This is going to take forever.
"You think? You might want to consider a trash bag instead, Dylan," James patted me on the back. He grabbed a box and started placing my books in it. I went towards by bedroom door so I could quickly grab a trash bag. James was right. The box probably won't be big enough.
"Here you go, Dylan," Alex stopped me in my tracks while holding out a trash bag. I thanked her for it. Once in the room, Alex grabbed another box so she could help out. I have no clue how long we working in my room before we started to work in James's room.
A phone went off so James and I turned to look at Alex. She was checking out who was calling her when she let out a sigh. From my guess, I would say it's the Chief calling her about needing her to come in. Alex left the room so she could talk on the phone. My guess was right. From what I could hear from the conversation, I knew it wasn't good.
"Ok Chief. I will be there shortly," I said into the phone before I hung up. I couldn't believe it. I was getting called in. I thought today was going to be an easy day where they didn't need me. Apparently something huge happened. I don't really get called into something bigger happens or something huge happens.

(Author's Note)
Hey guys. I just want to say sorry for the late update. I was pretty busy. Also I know this chapter is short but there is a reason for that. The next chapter is going to explain a lot of things like knowing the town and the reason why she got called in. Feel free to comment and like my story.
