First year problems

The twins and i sat in the common room for a few more hours. Eventually i had to call it a night because Fred pointed out that i was falling asleep twice. I said my good nights and headed up the stairs. I met a few of my roommates before i fell asleep. They were nice but i was too tired to remember their names. There was a dark haired girl, a frizzy haired girl, and a blonde.

I woke up the next morning in a daze, the dark haired girl yelling at me to get up. "We've got to get to breakfast!" she shouted. "Okay, okay i'm up!" I shouted back, hair turning bright, bright yellow. "What the-" i heard from across the room. i sat up and looked at a strand of my hair. "About that..." i try to start an explanation. "ROSE" i here a screech from down the stairs. "I have to go," i said in a rush, throwing on my robes then taking off my pajama pants from under them. I reached the bottom of the stairs to see fred and a very disheveled george.
"Rough morning?" i asked jokingly to george.
"Rough night." he corrected, turning to fred with a glare.
"Well i wanted to get a good look around the castle!" fred piped up.
"Okay no hard feelings but i heard they make breakfast. I'm going." i announced, stepping past the boys.
"Food?" the said together that earned a roar of laughter from me.
"You... two are... so fat!" i shouted between fits of laughter.
"Nu-uh!" they shouted and i got up.
"Okay okay... your not fat, just constantly hungry." i negotiated
"Deal," george said, turning to fred with a hand ready to shake.
---------------------
"WE'RE LATE!" i shouted back to fred and george as i sprinted through the halls into the dungeons.
I finally reached professor Snape's door. I was terrified, the stories they told about him, probably just rumors, i convinced myself . I took a deep breath and stepped inside.
"And if you add..." Snape droned in a bored voice before droning off and looking at me.
"Sorry.." i mumbled and ducked into an empty seat as the twins busted through the door.
"I see some people don't take my class seriously." snape complained. "Take your seats weaslys." he sneered.
I gave the boys a pleading look and nodded to two empty seats next to me. I was too preoccupied with my embarrassment to notice  everyone staring at me. I glanced at the boys to ask what's up, but fred was already pointing to my hair. I pulled a piece down and saw ,to my horror, it was a very vibrant  purple.
"Miss... Rodrigues, please before coming to my class you find the time to... fix your hair," Snape sighed very annoyingly.
"Sorry professor, i was exited to get here," I scoffed back out of anger, pretty bold ass move if you ask me.
He glared at me for a second and everyone gaped at me in horror.
"Ten points from Gryffindor," he smirked.
Ten points from Gryffindor.... what the heck does that even mean?
I turned to the twins as Snape the Snake (tm) continued his boring class. Fred looked like he wanted to high five me and George looked at me in sheer panic. Fred put a finger to his lips at pointed to the front of the classroom.
I paid attention for most of the two hours we were there, when we actually got to make a potion, while very simple, I did pretty good. When Snape came over to me and Fred he didn't even have a nasty comment like everyone else! That was probably the most exiting part of that class.
----------------------------
When we were near the Great Hall I looked at the boys and asked, "What did he mean when he said, 'Ten points from Gryffindor'?"
George chuckled at my impression of The Snake and Fred sighed,
"Each house has points, teachers can take or earn those points, at the end of the year the house with the most points wins the house cup." I had to thing for an analogy for a moment but then it hit me,
"Like Mario!" I shouted with an enthusiastic palm to the forehead.
The boys gave me very confused looks and Fred tilted his head.
"What's like Mario?" A voice beside me asked.
"The house points, you know like the teachers are the turtles and the boxes, and the house cup is like the flag!" I ranted to this, may I remind you, absolute stranger.
"Oh yeah, and Quittitch is like a bonus round!" They exclaimed.
"Quittich?" I asked befuddled, looking from the girl to the boys then back to the girl again.
"Looks like we're having lunch on the field," Fred sighed as George jumped up and down.
