I used to be obsessed with the darkness.
I found beauty in twisted minds,
In destructiveness and morbidity.
I would crave to feel what deaths cold touch felt like on my skin.
But then you came
And suddenly things started to change.
The gloomy abondoned city that was once my mind now grows beautiful blossoms of roses and lilies.
The sun is always shining
And when it rains, it never stays for more than a few moments,
Just to replenish the dry soil so that new growth can occur.
When before I would beg for a storm just to let the rain flow with my tears and blood.
Who would know how, with just one kiss, you would diminish the darkness that I held so closely.
Who would know that I would now choose the light every time,
After living in the impenetrable dusk for so long.
Silence is the loudest cry,
And you were the only one that listened.
You'll never know the ways that you saved me.
You illuminate my mind.
And I hope that I can prove that I am worth it,
Because now that I've had a taste of the bliss you bring.
I can not accept the dismal dullness that I am without you.
I now know that I too deserve love and happiness, I was foolish for believing otherwise.
You have changed my world and I am in everlasting debt.
