Everyone is sitting in the living room of my apartment waiting formers speak tell them what I want to. Slowly getting up from my bedroom I walk to the living room and sit down with them.
"So your all probably wondering why you here" I receive several nods in response " I have a daughter her name is Rhea Tatiana Nicolaou, she is 7 turning 8 next week. When she was 3 she was diagnosed with a type of blood cancer she has been in and out of hospital since then and so have I. Before you ask her father was killed in an accident before she was born. A couple of weeks back she got an illness due to the cancer her immune system is very weak so this illness escalated and she had trouble breathing they quickly put her on a ventilator and went to treating the illness. That's why I disappeared back then I was with her."
"Can we see a picture" Claire asks to which I nod and go get one

"she's beautiful"" when can we meet her" I get in response " that's what I actually wanted to talk to you about I alway make her birthdays special as it is a miracle she has made it this far according to the doctors, she can't leave the hospital due to the cancer and her weak immune system and she desperately wants to go to set with me. She watches the vampire diaries and the original during her day so I was wondering if you would all like to meet her" getting a series of nods yays and can't wait in response. " her birthday is next Friday I have already spoke to Julie so if you want to meet her you can come you can meet me here or at the hospital around 9?" " I say we meet here so we don't have to take so many cars" comes from Joe " well in that case say meet at 8" I state while nodding " I want to be there by 9 so I can wake her up she usually sleeps until 10"
~ time skip to the hospital~ I walk into her room alone. Slowly walking up to her bed I rub her back a move her hair out of her face " time to wake up beautiful" I whisper to her while kissing her head causing her to stir. "Happy birthday baby" I exclaim excitedly the moment she opens her beautiful blue eyes causing excitement to run through them like a spark to a fire "get ready you present is waiting" she nods a jumps out of bed a runs to her bathroom to change her clothes and do her hair.
When she comes out she climbs back onto her bed the looks at me waiting. I sit on the bed beside her having her cuddle into my side. "You can come in" the moment those words left my mouth the room was flooded with balloons and stuffed animals that they had brought while she just stares at the wide eyed before look to me hugging my side saying "thank you I love you mum this is the best" "we'll go on you can touch them they aren't statues " I simple reply which causes her to dive off her bed a jump onto Joe before moving onto everyone else giving them a hug. She grabs onto Joes arm suddenly almost for balance which causes me to to get up and walk towards her however by the time I get the he had already pick her up placing her on the bed " you have to be careful hunny don't push yourself to hard" which she just nods to.
She slowly started to feel better after throwing up. I cleaned her up and helped her up to the bed the others had made themselves comfortable in the room. "Can we go out" she asks "I will check with the doctor talk to each other don't just sit in silence" I walk out of the room
~ time skip to lunch~ I checked with the doctor and he said that she could spend the day out and night with me as she has been doing good these past few weeks and if it continues she could comes home.
So now we are in my apartment laughing and eating pizza. Rhea ended up loving them talking and joking with them and I can tell they love her in return.
Nate and I have been engaged for a couple of months now and he knew of her but never met her just like she knew of him. Despite him wanting to meet her he understood why I didn't have them meet before now. I can tell just by looking at them that they love each other.
~time skip to a couple of weeks~ It has been a couple of weeks since Rheas birthday and she was allowed to come home two days after her birthday she still has weekly hospital visits and has yet to be cleared for school although I'm thinking of homeschooling her not sure though. She lives with Nate and I now and it's like my little family is finally complete.
Her hair is now up to her shoulder blades as at her birthday it was up to her shoulders from being shave, she gets excited about it every day as it was the one thing that always brought tears to her eyes when she saw people with long hair cause it's what she wanted.
It is 8 at night at coming close to her bedtime she is already in her pyjamas laying on the couch with Nate while I am sitting at breakfast bar checking my emails. The time flys in no time and it is her bedtime "alright time for bed princess" Nate had just gone to the bathroom so she is the only one besides me in the room I hear her groan in reply before slowly making her way to her room before taking off in a sprint towards my and Nates room things like this happen every night. I follow her being prepare to have to carry her to bed.
Just as she opens the door and tries to enter she runs into Nate who is coming out the door. He grabs her and lift her up causing her to squeal in response. He easily carries her to her room placing her on her bed after she is on her she takes off to the bathroom to brush her teeth.

She come back in and got on her bed I kiss her for head "I love you princess sweet dream" before I leave to get myself ready for bed. As I make my way back to Rheas room I stood beside the door listening. "You love my mum don't you" " I do very much" " can you be my dad" peaking around the corner I can see that Nate took a breath and has tears in his eyes " yes princess I will" " I love you dad can you tell mum I love her she's been really busy with me coming home and work and trying to get Eliot to talk to her" " I will......just take it easy on her ok she cares about you way to much to let anything happen to you...... now get some sleep you have a big day tomorrow coming to set with use" He kisses her forehead before getting up turning the light off and closing her door. He noticed I was there after he turned around tears glistening my eyes " come on let's go to bed" I just nod letting him guide me to our room " thank you" I finally say when we were laying in bed facing each other when I get a confused look from him I continue " thank you for embracing her and loving her like a father should" " anything for you and I love her just as much as I love you" after he finishes he gives me a passionate kiss before we snuggle together to go to sleep
