Today was the day. Liam was finally gonna talk to Emily. He walked towards her locker and bumped into her, knocking her to the floor. He face palmed himself and bent down to help her up. "I'm so so sorry" Emily said slightly whispering.

"No it's my fault. I'm sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going. I'm Liam, by the way."

"I-I'm Emily."

"I know" she looked up at him oddly "I live next to you. Umm.... Are you busy after school?" Emily shook her head slowly and Liam smiled. "You wanna hang out at my place later?" She looked up at him and slowly nodded. He looked at her closely and noticed scars and bruises. "What happened to your face?" Liam went to touch her face, but she flinched back.

"I-I fell... I gotta go to lunch." She left and walked to the music room. She took out her acoustic guitar and took out her music sheet with lyrics and the beat she was going to play.  She started playing and sung her lyrics with the music. At the end she smiled and someone clapped. Emily jumped and saw Liam at the door. "H-how long have you been standing there?" She stuttered putting her guitar back in it's case.

"Long enough to know you're a good singer  and guitar player." Emily blushed and the bell rang. The rest of the day went by in a flash and the bell rang for dismissal. Emily walked to her locker and was met by Liam waiting for her. He smiled and Emily did something she hadn't done in a while. She smiled. Liam walked up to her and took her hand in his. "Ready to go?" He asked and she nodded. They walked to his car and he helped her in. They got to his house and she took her jacket off. "Emily did someone hurt you?" Liam asked touching her arm. She looked down.

"M-my father...." She sobbed. Liam wrapped his arms lightly around her and Emily sobbed into his chest.
