"LARAA!!" my dad yelled from downstairs. He's always mad at me for something since he blames me for my mom walking out on us when I was in middleschool, so I wasn't suprised.

"What now dad?" I asked as I walked into the kitchen from my perch on my bed where I was studying for my semester exams. I was suddenly overcome with a really eery feeling. Like something bad was about to happen. I had always been pretty good at sensing things like that. My mom always compared me to an alert dog because of it.

"Dad?" I didnt see him anywhere. I was just about to walk around the corner when he appeared before me. He looked horrible. I'd never seen him look so bad before. His hair was sticking up in some places and mashed down in others. He smelled of alcohol and urine and I wondered where he'd been the last few hours.

He wasnt saying anything, just looking at me with a sly smirk like he knew something I didn't. He held something behind his back. Oh, such a stupid girl I was for not realising sooner. Stupid Lara. Obviously it wasnt an apology gift he'd picked up on his way home for neglecting me all these years. It was the weapon he'd soon kill me with.

Before I knew it, I was pinned against the wall with a gun to my head. The worst part is while I cried and begged him not to, he stood there and laughed at me. Like its no big deal. We were just joking around. I didnt even get to say anything meaningful as my last words. All I remember is pleading for my life one last time, and then BANG everything went black.
