The alarm went off as Carter stretched out her arms lazily." I hope that today will be more peaceful than others, "she sighed. Just as she spoke, a shattering of a dish or more was heard and an ears splitting scream followed. Carter froze, for she was frightened and prayed in her mind that everything was okay. When she came back to life, she went charging through the door and quickly ran down stairs.
She zoomed out again because of what she saw. Her now bloody mom was lying on the floor trying to reach for her phone. Her dad kicked her hand so hard causing it to turn blue. Carter grabbed her bag and ran outside screaming. Her dad was going to go after her but he wanted to stay with her mom to make sure that she didnt call the police, but that was exactly what Carter was going to do.
Her mom stood there on the floor looking week, drained and hurt, while her dad cursed unruly things about her.
On the outside Carter was there calling the po po and after a few minutes, seven to be exact, the sirens were now audible.
Her father froze, wondering who must have called the police, while he watched his wife die slowly. Then, he looked outside and saw Carter shaking with her phone in her hand. "I'll deal with you later"he said quietly to his self.
The police began to aproach the corner. Carter glanced at the house and saw her father making death signs to her. That is when she crumbled down on the floor sobbing and scared.
The police parked across from their house and began to behave like those cops in the action movies. But they couldnt kick down the door,because someone (her dad) had already done that for them. One of them walked over to Solae and tried to pick her up. Just by looking at her face how timid and scared she was, he quickly pulled her off the floor and into his arms. It made him want to cry just by looking at her. By time the cops were in the house no one was there but her mom. The nosy neighbour came over when she saw all the comotion in the house from her room.
The cops went to her now bloodier mom and saw that she was having trouble breathing. Carter suddenly had the strength to jump out of the cops arms and started to yell. "What kind of cops don't bring an ambulance along with them!" she yelled. The other cop who was inside came outside and tried to calm her down and said that he would call the ambulance now. She sobbed more and more looking at her mom in pain.
While she looked at her mom, she then began to wonder where her dad was. She got worried and wondered if he would return.
Her mom was carried to the hospital and a few weeks after she died. This really tore Carter apart.
From then, carter lived with her grandma in Toronto, which was also where her best friends lived. Now she will have to go through the struggle of changing schools and adapting to her new surroundings and the people. But the good thing is, she will move on to a better
life....................................well i think😞.
