It was April 12, Sehun's 18th birthday. He was ridiculously excited, because Jongin had agreed to meet up at 7pm so they could celebrate together. The whole plan had taken a lot of effort- Sehun had to get fake IDs for both of them from the shady and slightly intimidating Chinese guy that lived down the street - but he was sure it would be worth it. He'd spent the past hour deciding what to wear and handling various other preperations. He'd told his mom that he was going to hang out with 'Joonmyun and them.' She didn't even ask who 'them' was; Joonmyun was a ridiculously good kid, so she had no worries.
Sehun was adding the finishing touches to the black eyeliner defining his eyes (Baekhyun would be furious when he found his favorite eyeliner missing) when he heard a knock on his window. He looked up to see Jongin sitting on his windowsill with a grin, pointing at the tree right behind him. Sehun rolled his eyes and muttered "show off" as he opened the window and held out a hand to help Jongin step inside.
"What..are you wearing? And is that eyeliner?" Sehun scoffed at his questions and shoved the window shut behind him, grabbing a pile of black...sparkly?... clothes off his bed and throwing them at Jongin.
"Put those on." When Jongin did not immediately comply, he started to pout. "It's my birthday. Please, hyung?" Jongin sighed and pulled his shirt off.
Sehun victoriously turned around to give him privacy to change, though he may or may not have been admiring the other's bronze skin in the mirror as he 'fixed his hair', as in he added more gel to make it look more messy. He managed to tackle his hyung with the gel soon after, leaving them both looking like they'd just rolled out of bed. Perfect.
They could not go downstairs and walk right out they front door; they were decked out in eyeliner, leather jackets, tank tops adorned with rather rude words, and ripped up jeans that were tighter than anyone over 30 approved of boys wearing. So Jongin easily slid out the window and onto a big tree branch and shimmied his way down. Sehun had a bit more of a struggle, but luckily Jongin caught him and saved him from a 2 foot fall. Good, he could have absolutely died. Or gotten his clothes dirty.
They had to walk a while, arms slung around each others' shoulders and conversation flowing easily. Soon, they were able to get on a bus to Sinmasan. It was a fairly uneventful ride, except for them getting shushed by a few ajhummas.
"Sehunnie, have you ever been to a club?" Jongin asked curiously once they got off the bus and Sehun started leading him with seemingly experienced confidence towards a semi-busy club.
Sehun snorted and shook his head, taking Jongin's fake ID from his pocket and handing it to him. "Nah, but doesn't it seem like fun? I mean, I have school tomorrow, I can't drink much, but it'll still be fun." Jongin shrugged, and they handed their IDs to the bouncer at the door. He stared at them for a moment, and Jongin panicked a bit, but soon they were waved on into the club.
Weaving around people, they giggled the whole way to the bar, already a bit drunk on their success on getting in and happiness in each other's company. Sehun ordered a tequila sunrise (Jongin always knew he was a fruity cocktail kinda guy), and Jongin ordered a bottle of soju. Guilt tightened his throat when Sehun easily slid his debit card towards the bouncer, but he didn't argue. How could he?
15 minutes later and their drinks were gone. Jongin was pretty buzzed, but Sehun was, well, he was a little past the 'buzz' stage. He'd never really drank before and tequila does hit some people harder than other drinks.
"Mm, Jongin-ie hyung~ come dance with me." he cooed, dragging Jongin to the dance floor without waiting for him to respond. Jongin humored him, half-dancing to some girl group song that Sehun seemed to know every word to. Troublemaker's "Now" came on next, and they managed to do the entire dance with reasonable accuracy, laughing the whole time and getting on the people around them's nerves. Jongin realized Sehun could move his hips as well as Hyuna herself and the thought was a little alarming.
