Eternity Sasha Jones P.O.V

"You what?" I sat up.

"I'm sorry but we need you to come to Crouse to identify the body."

"Um okay."

I pulled back the covers and slipped on my slides. I shook August.

"What?" He groaned.

"Please take me to Crouse." I chocked out.

He sat up and rubbed his eyes. He turned on the lamp on the nightstand.

"What's wrong?" He asked getting out of bed.

"M-My mom they need me to see if. They need me to identify her body." I said on the verge of tears.

"Oh my god." He put on his shoes and grabbed the keys.

We flew down the stairs and into the car. Im pretty sure we broke about 5 laws on our way there. But i dont really care at this point. If my momma really gone then its just me and Ebony. My mom and dad where both the only children in thier household. So that means I have no aunt or uncles.

Then that leaves grandparents. They are gone. Cousins all live where my mom is from. Chicago and that's halfway across the country. Other cousins all the way across the world. All the way in Africa and i have no way of contacting any of them.

I prayed the whole way there that whatever happened me and Ebony would still be good. That we wouldn't lose each other. Seems like anybody I ever looked up to just up and left me. I put my head down as i felt the car come to a complete stop.

I looked up to that we were in front of the hospital. I shook my head as I walked into the hospital. I walked up to the front desk. The lady covered the phone with her hand.

"Yes how may I help you?" She smiled.

"Uh hi. I was called in to identify my my mothers body." I chocked out.

"Uh okay hold on. Whats your mother last name?"

"Jones."

"Um okay i found her. Ill page the doctor.."

She finished her phone call before calling the doctor down. He came down. I followed him as i walked into the room with him. There was a body covered in a bright white sheet. I watched as the doctor slowly pulled back the sheet.

I gasped at the sight. There lay me mother. The one who gave birth to me. Pale and still. I put my hand over my mouth as I walked closer to her body. I stroked her hair.

The doctor stepped out the room. As soon as he left I completley broke down. I leaned on her cold body and let all my tears fall. It took me a few minutes but I ended up pulling myself together. I took her wedding ring off her left hand and slid it in my middle finger.

I kissed her forehead. And covered her back up. "I love you mama." I whispered.

I walked out the room and back out to the car. "Wanna talk about it?" He asked.

"Nah maybe later."

"Okay." He nodded.

He started the car then pulled off. We arrived back at the house and I went straight upstairs. I layed in the bed and closed my eyes. I thought about the best time me and my mother ever had together.

"Mama." I called out.

"I'm coming." She waddled in the room.

"Can we go now?" I asked.

"Yeah. Craig." She called for my father.

"What woman?" He came in the room.
