Real Life

As Mandy pulled into the lot Mia couldn't help but twist her hands as her nerves started getting to her. Mandy, as if sensing her sisters rising anxiety, placed a gentle hand to halt Mia's nervous tick.

"Relax. They all can't wait to meet you. I mean why wouldn't they, I sure as hell bragged about my talented sister, acting in a hit TV franchise and-" Mandy said with a knowing smile.

"You're just trying to calm me down by buttering me up!" Mia interrupted.

"And?" She questioned simply.

With a sigh Mia admitted "and its working. Keep going" she laughed.

The sisters laughter filled up the car as all previous tension was released.

"Okay, let's go!" Mandy cheered opening her car door with Mia in tow.

The duo walked through the doors with arms linked as they had done since they were kids, thicker than thieves they were.

"There they are!" A voice yelled catching the sisters attention as four figures walked up to meet them.

"Everyone this is Mia, my sister" Mandy announced to the four.

"Hi it's great to finally meet you Mia, I'm Sterling." Sterling said with a broad smile holding out his hand.

Mia grabbed his hand in a firm shake "Yeah its great to meet you too! I remember watching you in army wives all the time!" She said with a matching smile.

The second man then stepped up as Sterling backed away, "my name is Justin! I have to say I love watching you in Chicago P.D."

Mia then shakes his hand as well, "really no way! I'm glad you like it!"

Up next came the woman with a heart warming smile, "hi I'm Chrissy! Mandy has literally been gushing all week about you coming. I feel like you're part of the family already!" She said putting her hand out as well.

Mia eyed her hand before looking Chrissy in the eyes, "I'm a hugger come here!" She cheers wrapping her arms around Chrissy's shoulders. "I am so happy to meet you. Mandy hasn't spared no detail on how great you are! And she clearly was telling the truth" Mia laughs.

Finally, the last man walked up to Mia, who had been quietly watching the whole interaction. With his handsome, crooked smile he also introduced himself, "and I'm Milo. It's nice to finally meet you." He says simply.

A giggle forces it's way passed Mia's lips before she stop it, "I know...I mean...Yeah you are. I mean....." she fumbles over her speech looking to her sister for help, "what do I mean?" She asks dumbly.

Mandy stifled a laugh herself as she came to her sisters aid, "hi I'm Mia, it's nice to meet you too...." she coaxed slowly. 

Mia nodded at Milo and pointed to her sister "Yes! That's what I mean!" She says before seeing her sisters raised eyebrow and finally catching on "Right! Hi I'm Mia! It's nice to meet you." Before sticking out her hand for him to shake.

Milo couldn't help the shiver that rippled up his spine at her husky voice. With a pointed look, Milo copied Mia's earlier actions, he eyed her hand before walking over to her slowly. "I'm a hugger" he states in a low voice that elicits a shiver down Mia's spine as well.

As the pair hugged each other, smirks were exchanged between the cast members, and fist bumps between Sterling and Justin. The two broke apart after a rather long hug, with a smile.

The duo were oblivious to the planning and plotting that resided in their friends and sisters eyes. This was the start of something beautiful. They just had to be patient.

Little did everyone know, the emotions were running very high in both Milo and Mia.

And soon.

Fantasy would become all too real.
