Nicole and Colin Kaepernick had gotten married just a month after Super Bowl 47. I loved being in his presence and he loved being in mine. I was pregnant with my first child. We lived in a nice neighborhood. It was two more weeks until baby Kaepernick was due.
*Two and a half weeks later*
"We are finally bringing home baby Kaepernick!" I practically yelled through the phone. "Thats great Nikki!" your sister exclaimed through the phone. "Yea I gotta go now." "Ok" your sister replied.
Daddy Kaepernick opened the door for me and, Colin D'Travious Kaepernick, baby Kaepernick my first born child. Baby Kaepernick was sleep so I took him to his room. "We are finally parents." Colin said happily. "Yea, we are." I replied. A few minutes later Colin gets a phone call from his teammate Michael Crabtree.

M: congrats man. I saw the pic on Instagram
C: thanks man..it feels so great to be a dad
M: I'm sure it does.......
C: you will find the perfect girl one day I know it.
M:thanks for the words of encouragement... we should go celebrate tonight.
C: no way not tonight my first born child was just born.
M: yeah well me and the other guys will go celebrate for you.
C: haha ok man, be safe.
M: alright bye
C: bye
Colin hung up the phone and went to the kitchen to see Nicole cooking.
"Look at you, trying to be a good mommy!" "Haha very funny." "Yeah extremely.." "I'm tired babe." "Me too.." " Well let's go to bed." "Ok"
2:45 that morning
"Nicole the baby is crying." "I'm not going to get him." "Fine, I will get him this time." "Ok thanks hun."
*5 years later*
"Mommy, I'm nervous...what if we don't win?" my son asked me. "Tra, it's ok,your Colin Kaepernick's son...its in you trust me." I replied back to him. "Speaking of daddy, where is he?" Tra asked. "He's on his way..practice ran a little long." "Ok..." "Go ahead and go meet up with your team y'all start in five minutes." "Okay mommy." It was Tra's first ever pee wee league football game and he was nervous as crap. He couldn't sleep last night and the entire way to the field he watched some of his dad's old highlights. Before he got out the car he told his mom he was gone Kaepernick like his dad when he scores a touchdown. Tra and his team had the ball first. His quarterback Drew handed Tra the ball, and Tra took off down the field. He scored his first ever touchdown. Then, he Kaepernicked. He was so happy.
At halftime his dad came to the locker room and congratulated the four touchdowns he had ran. At the beginning of the third quarter he got the ball and took of again. At the end of the game Tra and his team won. Tigers (Tra) 56-Panthers 7. His team had won by 49 points.
Pee Wee League Super Bowl
The Tigers were up 21-0 at halftime and their quarterback and just gotten hurt. It was time for Tra to step in as quarterback. He took the snap,waited for a man to get open and threw it. First down Tigers! He did it again. The third time he took the snap, no one could get open, so he did what his dad would do,he took off down the field. Touchdown Tigers! He Kaepernicked. With 32 seconds left on the clock, the other team had the ball. Tra was playing safety, the Seahawks threw the ball and Tra intercepted it. He took off down the field and didn't stop until he was in the touchdown. He Kaepernicked and his team won the Pee Wee League Super Bowl 63-0! "Good job son." "Thanks daddy!" "Welcome."
I had recently finished my second season in the WNBA. So I was gonna be home everyday for most of the day. One day Colin let me drive him to practice and go for a food run for him and the team. It was fun doing something for those guys. I even helped Coach Harbaugh come up with some new plays.
