Handsome Jack X Reader

Chapter 1

Pandora, the most beautiful and efficient place on this side of the universe. This is your home, and you were born in a place known as Sanctuary. Your father was a part of an elite team of people, known as the Crimson Raiders, who were fighting against Handsome Jack, an evil man who had taken control of much of Pandora and Helios. Your father was a good man, and a very good father, but he died just a few months ago. Your mother, she died when you were a very young child, so you can't remember her very well, but you do remember your father telling stories of the missions that your they used to go on together, that's how they fell in love. But, you've recently become best friends with the girlfriend of the leader of the Crimson Raiders. She's taken you under her wing since your father died because she felt like she at least owed that to him. They were apparently good friends, Lilith and your father (even though Lilith is the same age as you). You can't help but feel a little jealous of how awesome your dad was and the great legacy that he left for himself.  Lilith has been training you to become a Raider, just like your parents before you.

"Alright (Y/N), let's start off the day with a mission. Since you're getting closer to becoming a beginner Raider, I've made this mission special, and challenging." Lilith states. You smile and say,

"Well, then bring it on Lilith. I'm anxious to become a Raider, even though it's going to take time for me to actually make a name for myself." Lilith smiles and continues explaining your mission.

"Well, there's no denying that. But, for now, let's just focus on this mission. So, your job is to somehow break into the radio control tower in the center of Sanctuary, undetected. When you get inside, call me with the radio, simple." You give her a look of uncertainty, she just told you that she made it challenging, but this didn't sound hard at all.

"Well, alright then. I'll call you when I get up there." You say as you begin to walk away from Lilith and towards the building, your palms sweaty and butterflies in your stomach.

"Good luck!" Lilith exclaims as she begins to walk in the opposite direction. You look up at the tower, and you see that it's pretty big. You can't even see the top of it from where you're standing. You take a deep breathe and walk into the building, ready to complete your mission.

---------1 Hour later-------

You were almost to the top now. Most of the time you were in the tower was spent hiding and waiting for the right time to run up parts of the building. There were still people walking around that you couldn't let find you. The thought of them finding you and having to go back to Lilith and tell her you failed your first "assignment" pushed you even harder to take your time, and not get caught. Finally, after jumping and crawling behind a few more crates and plants, you made it to the top. There were guards blocking the entrance, so you looked around for something to get them to move. You found a rock in the bottom of one of the plants, so you picked it up, threw it down the hallway, and the guards, being startled by the noise, went running after it. You then walked into the room, happy with yourself. Inside, there was a desk with a control panel and a radio. You pulled out the chair of the desk and pushed it to the side, you couldn't sit from how excited you were to have completed the task! You turned the radio on and waited for a signal. After a few moments of static, you heard a voice saying hello. You replied, "Hello, this is Y/N, I've completed my assignment from Lilith." Just then, the voice came back.

"Wow! Great job kid! I can't believe you didn't get caught! I'm so proud of you! Now, since you've proven yourself worthy, I now pronounce Y/N as a member of the Crimson Raiders! Welcome to the family kid! You've earned it." You didn't know what to say, you were so happy to hear Lilith say those words. Just as you found your voice, a loud CRASH came from behind you. You turned to see the door to the room knocked down, and a tall, muscular man standing in the doorway. There was a little dirt still in the air, so you couldn't make out his face. "Y/N, what was that? Are you alright?!" Lilith asked, still on the radio. Just as you were about to answer, the figure said,

"I wouldn't answer that if I were you cupcake." You almost dropped the mic when you heard that. There was only one person in all of the galaxies who would say that....Handsome Jack.....

"Y/N, answer me! Are you alright?! That's it, I'm sending men down there." Lilith said. Jack chuckled and stepped forward towards you.

"Well, I guess that means that we have to get going pumpkin." Jack said, smiling. You didn't know what to do, but you didn't want to show Jack that you were afraid of him. So, you stood up straight, put your shoulders back, and put on a stern face.

"I'm not going anywhere with you Jack. And I suggest you leave before Lilith shows up and marks your face again." You say through gritted teeth, trying not to tremble. That comment obviously didn't affect Jack, he didn't even move a muscle.

"Awe, how cute, trying to be tough and standing up to me? I like the fire, but we don't have time for this cupcake. Now, let's go." Jack said as he went to grab your arm. You quickly ducked under his arm and ran out the now broken down door. You heard Jack laugh and start walking after you. "Oh, so you want to play a game of hide and seek, do you? Well, I hate to break it to you cupcake, but Handsome Jack ALWAYS win." He said from behind you. You didn't know where to go, you were all the way at the top of the tower, there was no way you could run out and ask for help now. So, to try and buy yourself some time to come up with a plan, you ran into one of the offices and hid under the desk. You started trying to figure out a way to get out of the tower, and fast. Running down to the bottom? No, it would take too long. Jumping out the window? No, you're too high up. What about running down the tower halfway and jumping out into the water right next to the tower, that could work. So, you stood up and took a step towards the door. Just as you did, Jack opened the door and said, "Peek a boo." You screamed and back up to the wall. Jack cornered you and began laughing. "I told you cupcake, Handsome Jack always wins. But, I do admit, it was a good try." You had to think quick and you had to get out of there. So, you stomped on Jack's foot and tried running, but Jack grabbed onto your wrist and pulled you back to him. "Ow! That hurt! Okay, now you're just making me upset. And I don't think you want me to be upset. So, now, for the third time, LET'S GO!" Jack yelled. This scared the living shit out of you. You felt your shoulders drop and you began trembling. Jack saw this and smiled. "Oh, I'm sorry pumpkin, did I scare you?" He picked you up and threw you over his shoulder, but you were too scared to even try to fight him. So, Jack carried you out of the tower and out to his ship. There were two HUGE and terrifying guards standing outside the ship with guns bigger than you. Once on the ship, Jack carried you to the deck and put you in the CO-Pilots seat. He then put your seats belts on VERY tight and turned you toward the window. You blushed a little at how close he was to you, and he smiled. Then he sat down in the Pilots seat and started the ship. Before you could even say a word, the ship took off and you were on your way to Helios.
