How JB made his money

This is the story of Jeremy Bentham, born in Georgia, his family had moved him, his brothers and sister to Detroit while he was still young for better opportunities than down south could provide. As a youth JB as everybody calls him was always about his money, selling whatever he could get his hands on for a profit. Charismatic, he was able to make friends easily. JB had a good upbringing; as a child he attended church regularly and got excellent grades in school. JB was as smart as they come and was always in honor classes. Detroit was an up and coming place back in those days, in the early 60's around when Barry Gordy founded Motown. His father had gotten employment at the Chrysler plant and his mom worked as a maid for a rich white family. It was diversity and excellent jobs to be had everywhere. JB made an Italian friend named Alfonso Mancuso one day, definitely; by chance. Now normally, I know you wouldn't catch a black and an Italian becoming friends; and it was crazy how it had happened. Downtown, I guess Zo (as JB called him) wandered into an area where he wasn't known. I mean with who his father was, these cats had to be from another planet to be fucking with this kid. By the time JB had intervened (he himself not knowing who the boy was at the time) these Italians had fucked him up pretty bad. Usually, JB would have minded his business but he had a thing for respect. Even at an early age he knew that if you ain't no bitch, you should never be treated like one. He admired the way that Zo faught back, he never gave up. I mean he was beaten, beaten bad and just wouldn't stop fighting. The kid had heart, a quality JB could respect and did. That's all it took for him to grab a nearby brick and brain one of his new found friends assailants, the other guys weren't so easy however. JB managed to fight a couple for a minute and get some good licks in too, before he was also subdued. Both beaten to a pulp, one for the other; a friendship was born. From that day fourth, the two were inseparable. When he first brought him home, his dad couldn't believe that Alphonso would do such a thing; I mean a nigger (he thought) in his own home of all places. But when his dad heard what happened; Jeremy was instantly accepted. The two even formed a little click of their own. Moe and Anthony were from the neighborhood where JB lived and they also were with the two. However the only one accepted by Zo's family was JB. The boys didn't understand why back then but never really cared; they were friends with Zo not his family. All through school these four hung out together. Each started out as good kids but they all were influenced by what they saw growing up on the streets of Detroit in one way or another. As they grew Moe and Anthony more influenced than the others, and by 12 grade had hooked up with their own people of stature and respect. Now Moe got in good with some Columbians straight from Columbia. And Anthony had a Mexican cat he got cool with as well, he had a connect from what I hear with one of those Mafias from Mexico or Mexican Mafia guys, one of the two. But with Zo's father being who he was, Alphonso never really got involved in things on the streets; his position was pretty much mapped out. And JB well let's just say He was focused on school and what most young males are focused on. Jeremy always knew that he would go to college, get married and be a business man like the guys in suits He saw on television. I mean the boy had hustle but he just didn't see himself in the life that everyone else had seemed to be choosing. The four stayed friends all through highschool, all of them close but Zo and JB always cared for each other the most. As a matter of fact, those two hung more than the others. Because of the new businesses the others found themselves in, they spent less and less time. It had them busy and missing school and Zo and J were determined to graduate. Yeah these two really were cool, it wasn't until a week before Jeremy's 18 birthday and graduation, that everything in his world changed. It was strange that that day at school nobody had seen Zo. After school had let out, J went over to his house to find everyone in black grieving. Furiously the old men spoke in Italian from behind a closed door. Not fluent, he could only make out some of what was said. But when he saw Alphonso's mom hysterical, he could put two and two together and finally found out. Yesterday it seems, another family put a contract on Alphonso's fathers head and was trying to take over his territory, without the usual sit down. You see Alfonso' dad was a top member of the Gambino Crime Family; Mr. Micheal Mancuso. The father was thought to be riding in the back of the limousine as he usually does at that time of day, when the vehicle was hit. But it wasn't the father it was son riding in the back going to meet his father and have lunch. His father had taken a different car to meet a mistress before the two were to meet. This act of betrayal in a time of peace meant all out war! Now JB was at this point still a kid, correction up until this point he was a kid. Now he was a blood thirsty man in seek of revenge for his murdered friend. Face full of tears, he busted in the room where Zo's father was talking to the others. No doubt they were planning something and JB wanted in. That was the first time he met Mr. X, A scary looking cat who upon Jeremy entering unexpectedly like that immediately subdued him. Mr. Mancuso told Mr. X to let him be and told everyone in the room who the young man was. He declined his offer to help however and told him it would be best if he left the room; immediately. Tears no longer coming down his face he almost disrespected Mr. Mancuso by not taking his no for an answer and leaving. He was repeatedly asked to go and no was his response; even getting loud at a point. He refused and said Alphonso was just as much my brother as he was your son!, either kill me or let me help. The respect gained by his out burst, was enough to have him included! The job was in New York, they flew down there the very next day. He was grouped with a hit squad led by Mr. X. When they got there, it was like a scene from a movie. Dead bodies every where, when the smoke cleared only our assassins remained. Before they could escape however, they were captured by a FBI detail that was set to raid and capture the family that they had just laid to waste! As they entered X was coming out of the office, before they came all you heard was screams. I can't even say what he did in there to their bosses, but every Fed that went in there came out white as a sheet and throwing up. Everyone of them was locked up, assorted time was handed out. JB got 15 years, Mr. X got life, the others got sentences in between. Released from jail early, thanks to some friends of ours; JB-is now a full fledged criminal, and has become a boss in his own right. He was trained by the best, (Mr.X) and having served 8 years of his 15 year sentence had plenty of time to learn a new way of thinking. He was provided with a connect for all his loyalty shown when he got out. With that, JB got busy from there shaping his own empire. He's in bed with a Mexican cartel and everybody is getting rich; he even sends briefcases to the Italians as well as Mr. X's daughter because they were so instrumental in molding his life; our boy is nothing if he isn't loyal. JB'd rather die before he would scam, cheat or lie to a business partner that didn't cross him first. The boy was loyal but had grown quite ruthless over the years because of time served and things seen. We now find JB on the streets of Detroit and the head of his own criminal enterprise. Its a family of drug dealers and hit men, all one in the same. JB is leaving his mansion on the North side of town going to connect with the bosses right hand man; Mr. Bridges. And to celebrate cinco de mayo with him and the rest of his Mexican business partners. Not normally one to party, but Mexicans take it as an insult to decline an invitation for dinner and a celebration without reason; and JB could think of none. He had been in business with these guy since his release from prison. Unbeknownst to him however it was a plot on his life, it appears put into place by Mr. Bridges. Now tied up in the basement beaten bloody, he manages to get free. At that moment
