Her mother got out of the car and helped Lisa pull her trunk out as well. The car was one of the few muggle things they had not gotten rid of when her dad told mom he was a wizard 5 years ago, for mom had proclaimed "even if it isn't magic doesn't mean it can't be useful, and you just want to through it out because you hate the fact you don't know how to drive", which left her dad dumbfounded. True to her mom's words, the car certianly proved itself useful every year after that when they all packed the car and headed to Kings's Cross. While her mom shut the car door, Lisa found the empty piece of wall that was platform 9 and 3/4 and directed her mom who was know dragging Lisa's trunk towards it. Lisa turned around and extended her hand to her mom whom Lisa noticed was already looking nervous. Her mom had been here many times before, but never without Lisa's father. This year it would be Lisa who had to get the muggle to the other side of the wall. " Do you have a good grip on the trunk" Lisa asked, suddenly snapping her mother out of her nervous trance." Yes" her mother ansered, with an attempt at a confident smile. "Hold on tight to my hand then" Lisa said. She hated that this scared her mother so much, she had even offered to let he uncle take her in an attempt to let her mother avoid the wall, but of course her mother had denied, she wouldn't dream of letting another acompany her daughter to the platform for her first year of Hogwarts. Lisa speed up, running straight through the wall to the platform on the other side. Holding her breath, Lisa looked over her shouldes to check her muggle mother had made it. Seeing that she did, she let out a sigh of relief and looked around the platform. This was the first year that the sight of the Hogwarts express did not bring sadness and jelousy to Lisa, for instead it brought her joy and hope. This year she would not watch her elder brothers be torn away from her for months at a time, coming home with plenty of new spells to share and friends to speak of. This year she would be going with them, she wouldn't need to learn second hand of Hogwarts pranks, she would be there to witness them, wouldn't need to beg her brothers to let her read there spell books, she would have some of her own, and she would not need to feel a pang of jelously whenever her brothers got a letter from the schoolfriends, for Lisa was detirmend that she was going to make friends at Hogwarts. Friends good enough to write her every week during the summer holidays just like Nate's and Rhyan's did, and she would write them back as soon as she got there letters, for she was fairly cetain that's what friends did, she wouldn't know of course, as she had never had a real one. Lisa could hardly wait to get on that train, and she wasn't going to delay any longer. She turned around to see her mothe very nearly cowering. Despite knowing about the magical world for 5 years now, she still disliked being around this much magic at once. Lisa gave her mom a hug as she spoke to her, "swear to me you will write every week, and if you ever need me to come home you won't be shy about it, you will come right out with it and tell me" Her mom gave a sad sigh, for she hated that her daughter worried over her so much, "I swear Lisa, but I will be fine, your father will be there if I ever get sick again. Do try not to worry over me and go make friends, i'm sure you will have plenty by years end". " I know mom, and I will try not to. I love you"."I love you to Lisa". And with those words replaying in her mind, Lisa hoisted her trunk into the Hogwarts Express and set off to find a compatment, hoping beyond hope that what her mother said was right, that by years end she would have plenty of friends.
