Today I met her, finally a girl just right, her long hair, her confident eyes, her amazing smile and well, actually that's all I know about her my friends are still trying to talk me into going over there to her but, I know she won't like me.

"Come on take a risk" Matthew said.
"You really think she'll like me?" I replied.
"Man you go over there or else I will"
"I'm going, I'm going"

I slowly walk towards her practicing, getting ready to talk to her, she stares at me, I stop. Not even halfway and I'm already freezing up.

"Hey," I say when I get close to her.
It was this very moment that I knew she could be the one, and she hasn't even said anything.

"Hey,"she says. I look into her eyes and get lost. I wake up from my trance, she giggles a little bit.

"Are you going to tell me your name?" she asks.
"Huh? Oh yeah I'm....." there I go again into another trance, forgetting my name.

"Hi. His name is Jay. I'm his best friend. He's nervous, gimme a sec," Matthew pulls me aside, and slaps me.

"Dude wake up! You're blowing it!"
"Huh? Oh yeah umm ok I'm ready."

He leads me back to her.

"Ok. I'll leave you two to it." Matthew says, and walks away.
"Hey, sorry my name is Jay."
"I know," she says "your friend told me."
"Ohh ok." I say nervously."ummm so maybe uhhh would you like to go ou-"
"Sure, pick me up at 6 o'clock tonight ok? See you then."she says too quickly for me to respond.

She walks away and leaves me, confused for sure but still excited that I got a date. Wait! She never told me her name I look up and she's already gone.

"Yo! Quit hiding I see you!" I yell when my other friend Aaliyah comes out from her hiding spot.

She giggles, now Aaliyah isn't just a friend, she's probably my best friend no matter what Matthew says. We've known each other since kindergarten. She's like a sister to me. She's a bit smarter than me, but it doesn't go to her head. She's always there for me even when I make stupid mistakes.

"Hey," she says.
"Hey, I say

She's quiet but when she unleashes her talkative side you better watch out because you will talk until she goes to sleep.

At first I found it weird that she was hiding, but then I realized she was just looking out for me, like all friends do, right?
