The shop was small and homey. Just entering, Mat could already tell this was right up his wife's ally. Speaking of which, Stephanie bounced up beside him and held out her hands.

"Well what do you think? Should be a good place for finding some pants." She flashed him a big smile, knowing shopping was not his forte.

"I'm sure it is," he chuckled softly, "lets grab us some pants and head home." They started to browse through some of the options. Steph was making quite the pile of assorted jeans in her arms while Mat held one pair close to him as he examined the piles.

"Boot cut, straight cut, skinny jeans? Why are there so many options? There should just be pants! Just the same style, different colors." He said dramatically. Steph gave a light giggle and patted him with her free hand.

"Don't let it get you down. You only need one pair."

"One pair of pants or one pair of...?" He dodged her hand as she went to slap his shoulder.

"Hey keep in clean." She chided with a laugh. "I'm going to try on a few of these pairs. Do you mind being my Tim Gun for a second?" she asked as she scooted her way into a dressing room.

"For you my lady, I always will." She smiled at that and slipped away. He sat, holding his measly pair of pants waiting for Steph to reemerge. After a few minuets she came out with a bright red pair of pants and a blue bundle in her hands.

"Well miss Cordato, I believe the red pants look stunning on you," Mat drawled out to sound sophisticated, "but what are you holding in your hands, darling?"

"While I was trying on these, this was hanging in my dressing room." She excitedly held up a jean jacket. "I know how much you like jackets and it looks about your size." She said enthusiastically.

"A jean jacket huh?" he asked eyeing the clothing in her hand. She handed it to him and encouraged him to try it on. He slipped it on easily, and the fit was perfect. "How do I look? Like a rebel? Like a bad boy?" he asked pulling a face to look tough. Steph giggled.

"No! You look really cute in it." She commented pulling the lapels of the jacket to get him closer.

"Really? I don't know if it really suites me?" Mat twisted to look at himself, still unsure.

"If you don't like you don't have to get it. But you do look good in it." His wife reassured smoothing her hand over his chest. Mat watched her and decided right then and there...

"I'm getting the jacket."

"Really?" she asked excitedly.

"Yeah, its time for something new. Besides, want to look good for my girl." He gave her a quick peck on the cheek, as she brightly smiled.

"What era am I in?" Matthew half laughed half complained. "Why didn't they like my jacket?" they were packing away the live-stream equipment. Jason had left a few minuets ago and now it was time to wind down for the evening.

"Well I still think you look cute in it." Steph reassured him. It was true, she really loved the way it looked on him. Mat tended to wear darker colors but the light, faded blue brought out something in him. It reminded her of their college years together, so young, so carefree, so poor. She chuckled at that.

"Whatcha giggling at?" Matthew looked over with a raised brow.

"Nothing. Just thinking about the past."

"Because of my jacket? Dang it Steph it does look like Marty McFly!" He said defeated as he fell on the couch. Stephanie joined him and leaned her head on his shoulder right as he wrapped his arm around her, bringing her close.

"Blast from the past or not, it still makes you look cute."

"Well that's why I got it. If anything can improve my looks, I take it right away." He kissed her forehead.

"Well this may shock you but I have this crazy theory that you look cute without that jacket as well." Steph said coyly as she placed a slow kiss on his neck. She felt Matthew shiver, his grip on her shoulder tightening.

"Is that so?" he asked his voice quivering ever so slightly. "Well a good theory needs to be tested and researched..."

"Well then we should hurry upstairs and get right to it." Stephanie hopped up from the couch and slipped out of the room. Matthew sat there with a large smile on his face, how did he ever get so lucky.
