This is awful....First I'm robbed by my girlfriend on Christmas Eve, and now....now I'm being offered a chance to 'dress as a girl and be a fiancé' of a lunatic that came up to me on a street bench, offering what he said was 'a million dollars'?!
"I need you to dress as a girl and pretend to be my fiancé."
"WHAT?! No way! Not for a Thousand Dollars!"
"How about a Million?"
My mouth gaped open as I stared back at him.
"Y-You're kidding me, right? I'm sorry, but I just met you and it's cold outside, so there are things called hallucinations when your mind freezes I think...." I began before he put his hands on my shoulders firmly.
Our eyes gazed back at each other silently. His face looked that of a serious and somehow determined man. I gulped, now in nervousness and anticipation.
"........Please?"
.......
................
................................IS HE SERIOUS?!"Wh-What's with you?! You're so...so—"
"So desperate," He interrupted as he sighed back at me. "Listen, I know we just met and I'm....well, asking for you to crossdress and pretend to be my fiancé, but....Please!"
He had the look of a poor, desperate puppy dog; the look of when an abandoned puppy in a box on the street is staring at you to come and pick it up and take it home.
"Oh, come on," I groaned out as I shook my head. I then looked up back into his eyes. "Explain."
.......The puppy's wagging his tail now with his ears perked up in happiness.......
"My name is Seth," He took a deep breath. "I'm Seth Rowen."
Suddenly, my mouth gaped wider. "You....can't be serious....."
Rowen. There is no way this can be the same Rowen name as the famous Rowen billion—no trillionaires.
"Yeah...." He scratched the back of his neck in embarrassment as his cheeks reddened. "Anyways, what's your name?" He asked as if going back to a normal conversation.
Shaking my head rapidly, I answered, "I-I'm...."
He raised a brow.
"Lain....Michaels."
"Lain? What a lovely name!" He exclaimed happily at me. I frowned back in clear displeasure. "Not lovely. It's a name you get when your parents thought their newborn baby son was way too cute to be a boy until he turned into this broken down piece of shit that you see right now crying on the bench!"
He blinked before a smile emerged. He patted my head.
'This guy's an idiot.....' I thought as I stared back.
"It's alright, Lain! You can tell me it all later, but for now, we should be going. It's getting chillier and darker the later it gets," He said, taking my hand. "Make sure the jacket's wrapped around tight." He winked before pulling me along.
"Thanks—Hey!" I then scowled back as I was pulled. "I ain't a girl! And I never agreed to this!"
"But I thought we had a mutual understanding!" Seth exclaimed back to me as we walked.
