Eleven Minutes

Prologue

The world of Coleia. Year X632. Two villages, Konilura and Shiena, Ice and Fire, lived side by side and feuded with each other for centuries. One day, the leaders of the two villages decided to have a meeting to try and stop the war and hostility. They came to an agreement that if their firstborns were of the opposite sex, the two would be betrothed to each other to combine the two villages.

Nine months later, the Ice village presented a beautiful girl with raven black hair, pale ivory skin, and icy blue eyes that shone like the ice that froze over the lake in winter. She was given the name Indigo Neva. The fire village however got two twin boys. One was born merely eleven minutes before the other, so he would be the one to marry Indigo. He was named Luca Feuer. He had dark blue, almost navy hair, tan skin, and deep green eyes that commanded authority and respect. Luca was always treated with more respect from his father, which often made the younger brother feel second best.

The younger of the twins was named Axel Feuer. He had fiery red hair, the same tan skin of his brother, and amber eyes that glowed like the sky during sunrise, but he had something that his brother didn't. He was blessed with the gift of fire. A trait passed through bloodline, usually to the first born, but it does skip from time to time. This power didn't give him too much attention, but it did catch the attention of someone.

Indigo Neva

Much to Luca's dismay, Indigo and Axel formed a strong friendship at an early age due to them both having powers. Indigo with ice and Axel with fire.

Despite being engaged, Luca and Indigo hated each other. They had nothing in common, and Luca was possessive and sometimes abusive and only wanted Indigo to be associated with him. Everything had to be his way or it was wrong, and Indigo and Luca had very different ways of thinking, which often made things very uncomfortable.

The wedding was scheduled for Luca's 21st birthday, and Indigo had only three months to find a way not marry Luca and keep the peace between the two villages
