Crushing the leaves in her hand was the only way she could cope with her parent’s crushing expectations. Her life could not get any better nor worse. It stood still, in an everlasting cycle that never moves.

 

Leaves were the one thing that she found soothing, especially during the crisp fall where the leaves were dead, just like she was. As she inspected the effect of crushing the leaf there was a knock on her bedroom door. She least expected the person who barged in the door right after knocking.

 

She scarcely said, “What are you doing here? I thought you left!” as she curled up on her bed hugging her knees to her chest.

 

He stated, “No, not until I make your life miserable. Until you are mentally scarred.”

 

As he got closer the girl’s adrenaline rushed out of fear. She quickly curled up into her ball, but when the man finally finally got her out he started his normal routine.

 

As the man did indecent things to her she plead to the air, “Help me.” while crying her eyes out the whole night.
