I woke with a start. I always had to live on guard with no one to trust. Now... now was different I had a foster father if you could call him that. I was still an assassin though but the best on at that. Father told me I had a letter for a new mission. The letter read:
Black Rose,
I see potential in you. Especially at such a young age. I
would like you to go to Cross Academy and survive. I shall
send you another letter with a payment of ten million cash
if you succeed. You are to survive for a certain amount of
time. While you are there I shall request for side jobs. You
shall receive payment after finishing any of the missions.
Depending on your performance there maybe more for you
in the future.

I crumpled it up and threw it at the fireplace. This sounded like a good offer. Not that I needed the money. I liked my position at the top and it shall remain that way. "Father!" I called. He wasn't really my father. He was more like a bussinessman who worked for me and pretended to be my father.
"Yes, Rose?" he asked. Rose isn't my name. I never had a name. In the underworld they called me Rose or Black Rose. I lost my name with my family.
"Tell this A. I accept his proposition. And father?" I said while thinking of a name that I could go by in this academy."I shall now be Akira Ishikawa. That will be all."
