Chapter 2

Akira's P.O.V.

I stirred slightly and woke up in a bed in the infirmary? Huh? What? I suddenly remembered and I sat upright grabbing for my knives.

"Looking for this?" A familiar voice said.

I turned around and saw the guy from last night. "You." I spat seething in rage. I reached around and felt my needles. He forgot these. I smirked and threw it straight for his shoulder. I stood up and suddenly he was in front of me taking my arms. Before he could pin me down I kneed his ribs hard enough to cause a cracking sound. I twisted his arms and took another needle. He saw this and tried to stop me but couldn't. No one could, I was simply too fast. Well faster than he could heal his ribs so I reached around his throat and placed it on his windpipe.

"Move and I'll push this in. You won't be able to breathe. You'll die a slow and painful death you insignificant vamp!" I threatened.

The door to the infirmary opened but I ignored it and moved him slightly so I could see who came in. It was another Night class student. This time he had median brown hair and reddish-brown eyes. Was it me or does he resemble Yuki a bit?

"Move and he dies." I narrowed my amethys eyes at the new incomer.

"L-lord Kaname." Aido stuttered.

This lord Kaname raised his hands in mock surrender and said, " We come peacefully. I only wish to talk to you."

"Oh yeah?! We can talk once I get my daggers back." I said sarcastically.

" We are both students here." he continued. " I shall be the one to punish him for his misconduct."

"Truthfully. I. don't. give. a. fuck. If I'm insulted. The insult." I gesture to Aido. "Dies." I deadpanned.

I could see the guy get frustrated. I smiled. It looked real entertaining. He didin't get what he wanted so now he'll cry like a baby! I cooed in my head smirking at him.

"Listen...?" he said. "Akira." I provided.

"Akira."He said trying it out. I felt shivers run down my spine as he said my name. "Can't we come to an agreement?"

"Hmm..." I pondered the thought. "Agreement on what exactly?"

All of a sudden Aido grabbed my left hand and twisted it behind my back. I bit back the pain and dropped the needle. "Shit!" I cursed.

Time to act spontaneous. I pushed at my twisted arm moving my body to the right and elbowed him in the face. I stretched my left arm slightly and cringed at the pain but paid no heed to it and quickly took out a needle and flicked it up and caught it with my right hand. I was about to stab Aido when Kaname came and pushed us away from each other.

He stood in front of me and sighed, "Really Aido. I just got her to listen and you do this."

I couldn't help but laugh. It was such a pathetic sight. I, the great Black Rose defended by the boss of a vamp which tried to bite me. I laughed and laughed dropping the needle.

They looked at me weirdly. "Ahem" Aido coughed. "You actually have a wonderful laugh." he said and smiled at me.

To my surprise and his I smiled back and stuck my tongue out and said, " I'll get you for this next time vamp for now. I'll listen to your boss. Now leave before I change my mind."

"Until then my pretty little rose." He said before leaving.

I sighed and sat on the mattress. " Ok... So what do you want?" I asked him.

"What?!" I yelled.

"I believe you heard me correctly." Kaname said calmly.

"So... You're blackmailing me. No harming of Aido and any others and I don't get attacked by a mob of vamps?!" I asked bewildered.

"It is not blackmailing. It is a simple agreement that will help both of us survive."

This sneaky bitch. I looked at him and stared at his eyes. Why are they so familiar? " I think I would decline I've killed before." I said darkly. " Killing a whole vamp mob won't change anything."

He seemed shocked at my response. " I shall respect whatever you choose." he said before leaving.

What the hell just happened? I headed to the headmaster's room unable to do anything else.

I knocked and opened the door without waiting for a response. I saw Yuki and the silver-haired guy in the room with the headmaster. I felt a sarcastic smile play upon my lips.

I smiled sarcastically and said," Which one of you shot me with a tranq dart?"

"Oh,Oh! Akira you're here!" The headmaster said awkwardly. " We were just talking about you."

I felt my eyebrow twitch. I smiled even wider now. "Still haven't answered my question." I stated.

"I did." The silver haired boy said.

"So old man. Do you was want to die early?" I asked casually.

"It's Zero. And no. I have better things to do than dying." He said standing up.

I reached for my knives that I got back after talking to Kaname. He said my daggers were with the headmaster. "I didin't say you could leave yet." my voice becoming devoid of emotion as I held one knife.

Zero only chuckled and pulled out a gun. " That doesn't scare me one bit."

"Oh... You should be." I said in a monotone voice as I took another needle (She had 8 but lost 2 because of Aido now she only has 6) and threw it in the hole where the bullet was supposed to come out of causing the gun to jam." Go on. Try me."

"Z...Zero. I think you should calm down." Yuki said.

"I want my daggers headmaster." I said.

"Your daggers!" he exclaimed. "What's so important about them?" he said stalling.

"Personal question headmaster." I sighed, "Do I have to throw a needle in any of you three's eyes just to get my dagger back? Because I won't fucking hesitate I've already done worse." I said.

The room fell silent thick with tension. The headmaster looked around for my daggers. Zero stared at me blankly. The same face I had when I first killed. Yuki stared at me frightened.

"Uhh... Akira? I-I can't find y-your daggers." the head master broke the silence.

"FUCKING HELL!" I yelled. "Do you want me to throw a fucking needle in Yuki's eye? Cuz I won't fucking miss. My daggers headmaster." I spat harshly.

Zero couldn't take it and lunged at me. Such amateur movement I dodged to the right grabbed his hair and placed a knife at his throat. " I mean business here. If you don't get me my daggers headmaster I will slit his throat and shoot a needle through her eye too." I said gritting my teeth.

"I found it!" the headmaster said nervously. "M-may I ask wh-who you really are?"

Bold move. "Drop the daggers on the table." I said I moved swiftly and took them. Zero glared at me but did nothing. My whole body felt cold and empty and my voice devoid of emotion when I said, " I am no one. My name died along with my family. But if you still ask its Black Rose." with that I left.

3rd person's P.O.V.

The door slamming echoed in the headmaster's room.

"She's broken." the headmaster murmured softly.

"Broken? What do you mean?" Yuki asked concerned.

"Something happened in that girl's past. Something that scarred her. Something that made her turn off her emotions, lose sight of happiness. She might still be savable." he replied

"Savable? She didin't look that way to me." Zero scoffed.

"She's hardened to survive. I'm guessing no one took care of her when she was younger. When she says she's done worse I have a feeling its her way of saying I've killed someone before and I'm not afraid of doing it again. She's more skilled at fighting than both of you. Maybe you can ask her to teach you. For now I shall look into her past."the headmaster argued.

"Fine. But I still don't trust her." Zero said and left.
