Iris PoV

Standing next to his grave I held a doll he made me along time ago. I held it so tight if it wasn't stuffed it'd be dead. My heart ached so badly. "W-why did you have to die? Why did I have to kill the one I loved!" I yelled at his grave. My legs grew weak and I fell to my knees. "Mom... you... you need to go eat." Estora's soft voice sounded so... distant. I felt her grab my arm and tug lovingly. "Sorry sweetie I... I just... need a little bit mo-" "N-no! You keep saying that! M-mommy your gonna die if y-you don't eat!" Estora's voice cracked. I looked at her to see my little girl crying hard. "S-sweetheart..." I hug her softly as she starts bawling in my arms. I see Azel in the barn staring absentmindedly at the animals. When I focus and actually look at him I notice he's crying. "Ok... ok Estora. Let's go eat."

Azel's PoV

I watch mom and Estora walk inside. When they finally get inside I walk to dad's grave. You happy now? I can hear him asking me sadly. I shake my head and wipe my eyes pretending to not be effected. "I'll m-make you proud Dad. I promise. I'll keep them alive. I'll... I'll..." I let my tough talk die. Just then a shadow looms over me. "Wha-" I'm cut off by a giant pair of arms hugging me very softly. Angels course low voice softly resonate through me, "It'll be ok, Azel. We will help any way we can. Ok?" He squeezes gently then lets me go. "T-thank you... u-uh... uncle." He smiles and pets me softly. "He'd definitely be proud of how well your keeping yourself together. As well as not arguing with your sister. And helping... Iris." He stares softly at dad's grave crying.

"You always were the sentimental type weren't you dear?" Mars walks up to Angel and takes his hand rubbing it comfortingly. She wipes her face trying to hide her tears as well. "Hello Azel." I nod softly and stand up. "I'm gonna head in. See if mom wants to see y'all. Ok?" They nod as they pay they're respects to Dad. I head inside and see Elcora cooking Mom's favorite meal. Fried pickles and a bowl of ice cream. "Estora... she's not gonna get healthy if you feed her junk fo-" I was cut off by a pickle flying across my face. "H-hey!" I glare at Estora to see her giggling as mom gets another pickle and gets ready to throw it. She seemed so exhausted and trying so hard to be her normal, happy, fun self. She throws the pickle at me and I side step it and her a small squeak. I look behind me and see aunt Mars holding the pickle in her hand kinda shocked. "Pickle?" She says dumbfounded. Angel laughs and takes the pickle and eats it. Everyone except me starts laughing. I smile at the least. "It's... good to see you." Mom says softly and quietly. She walks over to them and hugs them softly. Estora goes back to making moms food and mom and them start small talk. I take this break to go to the bathroom. "..." I reach out to dad and grip his hand. The mirror cracks at the pressure I put and I see me in broken fragments. I smile faintly. "Right... he's dead."
