Damon's pov
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•Drip.
Drop.
I'm walking down the road around six at night currently down a dead end road. Rain is falling from the sky and splashing against the rain leaving the moon's light shining against the reflection of the road lighting the way.
Drops of rain fell off the trees and splashed against my hair and left it cold and damp turning it a darker brown color. I could see my bright green eyes in a reflection in the road.
I was going to meet another gang member at the end of the road to do a trade. Quietly, I walked down the road with my black hoodie on with my fingers twiddling around in my pocket.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid!" I heard a girl scream.
I looked around at the fancy neighborhood and for the girl who cried out. Then, I saw a girl running down the road crying. Curiously I followed her a bit further being that apparently we were heading in the same direction.
She sprinted until she got to the end and then a car zoomed past me and was heading full speed at the end. I just running to the end of the road to alert the driver to stop but he didn't.
The car slammed into the girl throwing her into the bushes. The car turned ninety degrees and drove faster down the road and left.
My feet splashed through puddles which water droplets wetted the bottom of my pants as I dug through the bushes to grab the girl. In the process I picked up her phone and read the messages where someone said I don't care if you die.
Then I realized she had platinum blonde hair and was fairly skinny but looked healthy. I put my finger over her wrist and checked for a pulse. It was still there but faintly so I picked her up bridal style and ran to the house I saw her come from.
As I ran through her yard a ton of branches whipped me in the face as I spit out leaves.
"Why am I even doing this?" I groaned as I ran up the brick stairs and knocking on the pearl white door covered in drops of rain.
"Hello, how may I h-" the guy at the door said.
He had dark black hair and stubble across his chin. He was extremely taller than me for I am only 5'5 and almost 5'6. A lot of people in my gang make fun of me for being so short but they know not to cross the line with me since I'm the leader. Right now I'm hoping he doesn't notice who I am because I have been on the news before.
"A car hit her and I saw her run from this house so I brought her back here. She's alive though. I checked her pulse but it's faint," I explained quickly while he scooped her up in his arms.
"Thank you so much. Can you come with us to justify what happened?" he asked me suddenly catching me off guard.
"U-Uhm sure," I stuttered while rushing around the side of her house and getting in the back of the car.
I got in the black Pontiac while they gathered themselves in the car. By them I mean I'm assuming her mother and father.
"I'm sorry for dragging you along. It's probably weird to ride with a few strangers to the hospital," her 'mom' teased.
I chuckled and assured her it was okay.
They asked me what happened and I told them exactly what I saw. Before I knew it we were at the hospital. They brought her inside the emergency section and they took her back and made us wait in the waiting room.
"So do you know Jay?" her mother questioned me.
"Who?" I replied without thinking.
Then I realized it was probably the girl I saved.
"Oh, uh no," I said nervously.
"Well thank you again for saving her. What's your name?" she asked me.
"Damon," I responded.
I gritted my teeth together because I've said to much and that slipped without thinking. Before too long they're going to realize I'm the 'Damon.'
"I would approve if I knew you better," her dad said giving me a smile yet puzzling look like he's trying to figure me out.
"Approve?" I said to myself quietly, "What does that mean?"
"You all may come in to see Ms. Jordan if you wish," the doctor said to us.
We all got up and headed to Jay's room and went in.
"What happened?" Jay groaned looking around the room and holding her hand to her head.
The doctor followed us and told everyone she was diagnosed with amnesia which made me glad she wouldn't remember me if she ever saw me.
She had platinum blonde hair with bright green eyes like mine. She had arched eyebrows that looked like they were fixed by someone. Overall she looked pretty hot.
She looked over at me and caught me staring at her. Her eyes locked with mine.
"Who are you?" she questioned me giving me a glare.
"Damon," I answered.
"Do I know you?" she questioned again.
"No but I saved you," I answered.
"Oh well thanks. You should give me your number and we can talk sometime I guess. You should be going or your parents might get worried," she said giving me a concerned look.
I tensed up. I didn't have parents alive but I didn't need them to know that.
"Sure," I agreed a bit quiet.
She handed me her phone and I put in my number and I said bye to everyone and left.
Now back to the small meeting with my closet gang member, Daniel that I was extremely late for. I walked back down the wet road and went behind the bushes.
"What took so long, Boss," Daniel teased me.
"Some chick held me up by getting hit by a car so I brought her to the hospital with her family," I explained with my eyes trailing off.
"What if they find out who you are?" Daniel asked with a bit of harshness in his tone.
"They won't. I promise," I reassured him.
I started walking off back to the warehouse.
"Where you going?" Daniel asked making me stop in my tracks.
"To sleep. Where do you think I'm going?" I asked harshly before walking off.
