The First Day

It's the first day of University and you were ready to cast yourself into debt for the sake of a career you won't start for another 7 years. You had decided to take up some science classes, you didn't know exactly what you wanted to do yet, but you hoped you would come to you next semester. You enter the auditorium that holds your first class, you see at the minimum twenty students holding various coffee cups like they were a life line, ten who were obviously awake all night, and five who were up since 6 am and had been to the gym already. You walk down the steps till you're a few rows from the front and sit next to a guy that has very obviously been awake since 6am, "Hi, nice to meet you! I'm _____, what's your name?" you say, putting your bag by your feet.
"I'm Yusei. And it's nice to meet you as well."
"So what year are you? I'm just starting this hell hole journey." you laugh as you take out a notebook for notes-- if you took any that is.
"I'm a second year. Working to become a mechanical engineer, you?"
"Haven't settled on a specialty yet. Hoping to soon though." you smile as you see the professor walk in, "Well it's been nice talking, Looking forward to having this semester with you."
"Back atcha." he smiles and turns to face the front of the class.
"Morning children. I am professor Tenzen. Before we start this course I want to let you know you're adults. I will not baby you and tell you when assignments are due, it's your responsibility to hand them in on time. That said, here is the list of course work that needs to be handed in, and here are the test dates." He clicks a small remote as the power point flickers, "I've also sent out an email detailing the above. Now onto the lesson..."

"And that concludes today's lesson.  I trust non of you will be late to tomorrows class." Professor Tenzen says as all of the students stand and gather their things. You throw your notebook into your bag and sling it over your shoulder, stepping out of the aisle and walking up the stairs with the flood of other students. Just as you're about to reach the top,  an orange haired man runs out from the aisle and you trip, falling onto the step.
"Good going jackass." You hear Yusei say to the guy.
"Oh crap! Sorry about that!"  He offers you a hand up.
"No worries, and thanks." you take his hand and stand up, "Nice to meet you I'm ___." you offer a hand to shake, and he excepts it.
"Nice to meet you! I'm Crow!" he smiles and you nod. "Well, Yu and I better get going! See you around ___!" They both wave and you wave back. As you and the few remaining students leave you pull a sheet of paper out of your bag and look down at your timetable.
"Great. Double Chem." you say out loud as you head off to another building.
