"Studying"

It's been about an hour since you entered the study hall. Right away you had put in your earphones and got to work with your text books, you took 2 break, and are on your third, but considering the time it might be your last. So you start packing up.

After yelling at Yusei, a boy you just met that morning, it appeared he was going to the study hall as well. And he conveniently sat in the same area you did. So on the little breaks you were taking, you'd look at him. At first it was with some malice, 'what an idiot' but then you'd notice little things, 'He has really nice hair? What's with those streaks.' and then you would look at his physique, 'He's not too lanky. Has a little definition doesn't he?' but that's where you'd draw the line because you were there to study the book not some boy who you happened to keep running into... even though he wasn't hard on the eyes. 'No'  You scold yourself, shaking your head. Getting up, you give one last glance in his direction; and he's looking straight at you. 'Oh no.'  you turn away quickly and scurry out of the library. You had a bus to catch if you were gonna make it home and to work on time.

Having stepped off the bus and thanking the driver, you head to the little apartment building across the street. Sure the area was pretty sketchy, some might even call it ghetto, but it was home. You pull out your keys and open the door into the apartment complex. Walking up the rickety old stairs, you turn into the hallway and walk to a door labeled 311, grabbing another key on the ring you unlock your apartments door and open it. Immediately the smell of cigarettes hits your nose, "I told you. If you're gonna smoke, go on the patio." you say to your room mate.
"Aww, but it's cold out." she whines. "It's only a little smoke." she takes another drag.
"I'd tell you one day you'll die from those,  but then I wouldn't have a welfare queen to pay the other half of rent." you quip with a smile.
"Quick as ever I see." she says, exhaling the smoke and putting the cigarette out, "So, how was school today, any hot guys?" she raises her eyebrows suggestively.
"Nah, they're all geeks, you wouldn't like them you old bag."
"I'm only 28!" she pouts
"Yeah yeah, I have to get ready for work. See you later." you say walking into your bedroom.
"Bye bye sweetie."
