Good girl gone bad

Chapter 5

I sit at the dinner table with my parents.

"Mom, dad can I ask you something?" I say

"Sure what is it?" Mom and dad answer.

"Can I go on a date with Kyle Knight?" I say almost scared to see what they will say.

Mom looks at me with confusion "I thought you hated Kyle."

"Well he's not so bad after all." I feel a little shaky while saying it.

Mom answers " You were crying and complaining about sitting next to him just the other day. Why would you want to go out with him?"

"I had PMS I get emotional and I want to go out with him because he asked me out" I say with a little frustration

Dad answers "I don't think you should. Not with him."

"Why! What's wrong with Kyle? What

Did he ever do to you!?" I say.

Dad says "Look honey, it's not Kyle it's his parents they're a bit .... messed up. I know this because your mom and I work with them. You don't need to be around that mess."

I look at my mom she doesn't say anything. I get up and storm off to my room. I slam the door loud enough for them to hear it. How could they just say that to me they can't let me go on my FIRST date?! No of course not! I sit down on my bed and I just think. What could have happened to Kyle's parents to make them "messed up" if Kyle's parents are "messed up" what does that make him. I have to find out what happened. I get up and walk out.

"Mom, dad?" I yell while walking down stairs.

My parents are at the door and before I can say anything I see Kyle standing at the door.
