I woke up and instantly closed my eyes.

I was in a very bright room and I couldn't see anything.

"Am I dead?" I muttered.

"Oh my baby!" I heard my mom's voice cry out.

"Mom? Where am I?" I asked, trying to sit up.

Pain instantly shot through my shoulder and arm and I flopped back down.

"Ms.Jolly, please try not to move. Your shoulder is still not quite healed." said a voice.

I looked over and saw a man, who I assumed was a doctor, standing in the room.

"Hi. I'm Dr.Nichols. You've been out for about a week." he said.

"A week? No way!' I said,my eyes widening.

"Where's Jeff?" I asked instantly.

"Honey-" my mom started.

"Where. Is. Jeff." I asked, looking at her.

She stayed quiet and my eyes shot to the doctor.

"The young man who was burned? He's in the next room. As soon as your better you can-" I stopped him by sitting up with a wince, and trying to get out of bed.

My mom jumped up and held me down, me squirming under her.

"Calm down, sweetheart! Your going to get yourself hurt!" she said.

The door opened and I turned my head to see who it was.

It wasn't my father.

It was Liu.

"You got out?" I asked as I felt myself begin to calm.

"Yeah. After that thing at the party, the other two confessed." he said, walking over and standing next to the bed.

"Other two? What about-" I stopped myself, the image filling my head.

"Nevermind." I said,looking away for a second.

"Is your shoulder ok? How did you end up here, anyways?" he asked.

"My shoulder is fine. I have no idea why I'm here other than that though." I said, looking towards my mom since the doctor had left.

"You fainted from severe shock." she said quietly.

I sat there for a moment.

"I feel like a wuss now."I said frowning.

Liu gave a small laugh.

"I think your okay."he said.

"Have you seen him yet?" I asked anxiously.

He shook his head. "They won't let us." he said.

"Why? The doc said as soon as my shoulder is better I could see him." I said, looking at Liu.

"When are you getting released?" he asked.

My mom spoke up.

"Tomorrow. She is supposed to have ointment to put on her shoulder ever morning and before she goes to bed."she said.

"I'm going to have a scar, aren't I?" I asked, looking at her.

"I hope not." she said as she stood up.

"Im going to go get you something to eat. I'll be back." she said, going towards the door and leaving.

I sighed. "Liu, I'm sorry. All of this was my fault." I said quietly.
