You're dripping like a saturated sunrise
You're spilling like an overflowing sink
You're ripped at every edge but you're a masterpiece
And now you're tearing through the pages and the ink

Murdoc didn't do love. Hell, he didn't even do liking. He was as hard as a stone. He wouldn't change for anyone.

But dammit, why is the bluenette an exception to all that he's known?

He didn't mind it though. Especially not when Stuart was under his arm, right next to him in the same booth as always, talking about nonsense that seems to make sense to Murdoc.

After a few weeks of coming to this coffee shop, it became apparent to anyone that they were close. Even now, Murdoc had an arm around 2D's shoulders as the male just kept talking. It was quite cute, watching the little smiles that he would show when he said something he thought was amusing. Or when he would stop every once and a while to look at Murdoc and ask a question. Or even when he started a rant about a certain zombie movie that he watched. It was almost too much to handle.

"Awe Mudz. It's almost shift change. I don't wanna go." 2D says, looking at his watch and frowning.

Ever since the day of 2D's migraine, that damned extra barista was always there. Giving side glances to Murdoc every once and a while. It was annoying, but the payout was the best part. He knew that the other worker had a thing for the bluenette. He's seen it since day one. It was amusing honestly. It had to be obvious though, didn't it? That Murdoc and Stuart were close?

"It'll be fine Stu. I'll see ya tomorrow yeah?"

2D pouts but nods. "Okay. Maybe I can beg Johnny to take on an extra five minutes tomorrow." He says, thinking to himself but out loud.

Murdoc just laughs and ruffles 2D's hair in amusement. The bluenette looks at him and smiles, giving the man a quick hug before Murdoc could even react.

"See ya Mudz!"

And with that 2D rushes to the cash register. Leaving a surprised Murdoc at the booth.

He shakes his thoughts though, smiling to himself at the younger male's antics.

His smile quickly vanishes as he feels someone standing next to him. He looks over and glares automatically.

"You've been coming here a lot. You and 2D close?" The extra barista asks.

"Who wants to know." Murdoc grunts, not really asking a question.

"His soon to be boyfriend. I'd back off if I were you."

"I'd sleep with both eyes open if I were you. Threaten me again and that'll be the last thing you do. You understand me boy?" Murdoc growls. Clutching the front of the piece of shit's shirt.

The guy gulps and nods. "Good." Murdoc snaps, letting him go with one last glare.

Murdoc rolls his eyes as he watches the garbage walk over behind the counter, not even glancing in 2D's direction as he tells the bluenette something that makes him smile widely.

Great. Guess he didn't glare hard enough. That piece of shit must've asked Stuart on a date or some shit.

Murdoc huffs and picks his stuff up, walking out of the entrance to the shop without glancing behind him.

He hears clumsy footsteps behind him and he fights the urge to smile.

"Dullard. Are you following me now?" He says, stopping his walking and turning around.

"W-wha? Oh no I swear. I didn't want to lose ya, you walk fast though. I was just wondering if you said something to Johnny? He was pretty out of it. Even asked to cover my shift." Stuart finishes, laughing at the end.
