"Who do you think its from?"

I shrugged my shoulders as I slammed my locker shut. "I don't know. If I did I wouldn't have asked you, genius."

Domi rolled her eyes as we navigated through the crowded hallway. "Watch it be the leader of the nerd squad or something."

I looked down at the small notebook paper. In sleek hand writing, the words '3 o'clock - Gymnasium' were scratched onto the paper. "Either way, I'm going to find out who it is. I may be a bitch, but if they were brave enough to leave a note I should give them the benefit of the doubt."

She sighed. "Londyn, you're way to nice."

"Yeah, otherwise I probably wouldn't be friends with you."

Domi gave me a playful punch. "You know, you were right. You really are a bitch."

"Whatever you say," I said as I veered off into my first period class. "Try not to get a detention today."

I could almost picture the shit eating grin she had on her face - classic Domi. Shaking my head slightly, I took my seat at the front of the class. As I waited for the hell that was Algebra II to start, I sketched on the edges of my paper laid out for notes.

"I didn't know you were an artist."

I looked up to see Caspian Forrester looming over me with a soft smile.

"Can I help you with something?" I asked as he stared me in the eye, almost as if he was trying to intimidate me - which he did.

While most schools celebrate their 'amazing' football stars, little Oak Springs was the type of town to go nuts over basketball. And Caspian was the star of the team, so of course I felt intimidated. Imagine a harmless fish minding it's own business, when it bumps into a shark. If that shark is hungry or the fish annoys the shark, it's done for. Basically, I was the fish and Caspian was the shark. One wrong move and my social standing in the school would be diminished. Don't get me wrong, he seems like a nice person and all, but I was not going to risk pissing him off.

"Actually, yes," he stated. "The seat next to you, is it taken?"

He was referring to the desk to my left, where school snob Zoey Micah sat. She was the kind of snob who thought she was better than everyone else - every student, Caspian, the teachers, everyone. I heard she was dating the principle, but I doubt she was (even though I wouldn't put it past her, our high school principle has standards). Last time I heard she was dating Caspian, but she broke it off for some reason about a month ago.

"Go for it. You'd have to deal with Zoey, but I'd pick you over her any day."

He gave me a smirk as he sat down. "It's comforting to know that you aren't lesbian."

I stared at him as my face burned red. "Just sit down and shut the hell up."

As the bell rang I noticed Zoey didn't enter the room at all. Even if she was a snob, it wasn't natural for her to miss. But I easily brushed off the strange feeling as Mr. Daster started his lecture. Towards the middle of the period, he gave us time to work in class in pairs on the assigned homework. Usually, I would either work alone or with Jarred Garne when he decided to show up to school. But today was different. Out of nowhere, Caspian pulled his desk up to mine.

"You're gonna work with me today, okay gym star?"

"Whatever," I said as I flipped open the textbook. I mentally winced at being called gym star; I was captain of the gymnastics' team, which is probably the only thing he knows me for.

We started working out the equations, and I could honestly say I was shocked that he had both athletic skill and brains. You learn something knew each day.
