Once upon a time, the earth and rain were the best of friends. They hung out with each other everyday, and they were practically inseparable. Earth would give him a place to live in return for water to keep Earth's inhabitants nice and healthy. This went on for millions of years. And each day, rain came down to the people.

One day, the inhabitants were complaining that there was too much rain. So Earth talked to Rain about what was happening. "They say that you make their soil too soggy and their metal all rusty," Earth said. "But they put their horrible gasses in the air that make me sick!" Rain exclaimed. They argued and argued for days while the people kept complaining and complaining. Then weeks later, Earth kicked out Rain and the people were happy...

... until about a week later. The people's soil became too dry for plants to grow and when they made their metals, the air became too hot and a bit unbearable. Then the worst thing happened: the very oceans themselves started drying out. The people started to panic and when Earth found out what was happening, he searched all over for his old friend.

After looking for who knows how long, Earth finally found Rain in his mother's, the Sea, house. "Rain!" Earth called out. "I'm sorry for what I said. You have to please help me! The people are dying; their plants can't grow because they have no water; and the oceans are drying out so now I'm starting to die!" He begged and begged Rain for help but Rain stayed silent for about a few minutes before interrupting Earth. "Look," Rain stated,"I would like to help you but you have to understand how your inhabitants treat you. Just look at what they've done!" Rain then grabbed a piece of Earth's hair (the vegetation) for him to see. The piece was brown and wilting. "Yeah, so?" Earth said in disbelief. The piece had probably wilted and died because of the lack of water. Rain then showed his friend where the piece came from and Earth couldn't believe it!

The area that the piece came from was covered in trash! You couldn't have even told that plants could live there. "Now do you believe me?" Rain asked. Earth was still flabbergasted at the sight that his own people whom he had given a home to had treated their enviornment that way. Earth finally spoke,"I can't believe this... I feel...betrayed." "Now you know how I felt when you yelled at me," Rain said before pulling Earth into a hug. "I-I-I'm really sorry for what I did. I won't ever yell at you again." Earth said. "Don't be, "Rain replied. "But I have a plan that might help the both of us."

About three days later, Rain moved back in with Earth and the inhabitants rejoiced. Earth told them to make sure that if they want to keep having water, they'd have to look at their own envoirnment first. So the people agreed and soon the trash left on the plants were picked up and taken care of by Lava, after making Rain agree to not put water on him. Years passed and everyone was happy. But if the people forgot about their trash, Rain would leave until they remembered about the promise. And soon, everything was in order and the friendship continued for many centuries.
