Phoenix worker dies in the hands of Chairman.
Chairman fails to save worker.
Phoenix worker dies due to Chairman’s short-comings.
Chairman induces Phoenix worker’s death.
Good lord.
It was everywhere; on the news, in the magazines, on social media hash-tags, it seemed that the world was talking about nothing else asides from the event that transpired on the Dynasty launch.
It was a disaster.
The whole world was waiting for the re-birth of the world’s biggest fashion household and then a worker had to die. It didn’t just affect the sales techniques that Phoenix had put into place but the stock of the group in general was plummeting.
This day had come.
Somehow in the past few months, his life had actually been fulfilling. He had come to grips with his new life and also started to enjoy it, he had also fallen in love but just like they say, or like they should say, the dark days would always be imminent.
His world was literally crumbling to pieces and there was nothing he could actually do to save it. The door of his office opened and someone walked in. He knew who it was but he didn’t feel like acknowledging their presence.
“Jason” He could hear Ashley’s voice from up close now. He figured she was probably standing in front of his desk, as his face remained buried in his elbows which lay on the desk. Then he felt her soothing touch on his right arm which caused a tingling sensation. “Are you okay?”
He was going to act strong as usual, but his actions begged to differ.
“No” His voice came in a hoarse, dragged manner. For a while he didn’t get a reply until he suddenly felt her hands once more in his body, on his shoulders this time around.
“I’m really sorry.” She said as her hands started to work wonders on his tensed shoulder, massaging it gently. “That wasn’t supposed to happen”
He had to admit, her actions were exerting a great effect on him. Not the type she probably intended to.
“It’s still my fault.” He replied, his head still placed on the table. He decided he was going savor the moment for a while before he looked up. “I mean any regular person could have stopped what was about to happen and yet me, a presumed former doctor did worse”
She slowly withdrew her hands, but he tensed his shoulders in a way which indicated for her to continue. “No one can say that the worker wouldn’t have died in the hands of a regular person. Besides, the police are still investigating; no one knows what went down for sure yet. The media is just being the media”
Well, she was right.
And slowly he lifted his head from his table, and spun his Chair around to face her. Once again. She had packed her hair and was wearing glasses for some reason. Staring at her from below, flaunted her shape enticingly. He gave into his craving and pulled her in closer. All he did was hold her nothing more. Arms wrapped around her waist and his head resting gently on her belly.
She stroke his hair gently with one hand and toyed with his cheeks with the other. They remained like that for a while before the door opened causing Ashley to withdraw her hands from his head gently.
He spun his chair around and saw a clerk walk in.
“I’ve been asked to notify you that the press is ready for the conference”
