So young Rosie grew. She is now a five foot eleven beauty that people kill with words and hateful threats. Out of what though? Jealousy? I have no idea but I know she is hurting, horribly. Now Rosie is 13 and no one knows how hard it is to walk through her green front door every day, ready to get pounced on by all the horrid predators living in her normal castle. Oh, the awful things that live among her in the castle. Bruises she has to hide from friends. Making sure no one touches Rosie so she won’t scream out in pain during a hug, a pat on the back, anything. It is sad really, how she has to pretend she is deathly afraid of water because of the awful scars she hides under her shirt. But she loves the water, the beach, the sand. The way it sticks to your body like it wants to be a part of a world farther away than the other grains of sand. The way the ocean brings things back and forth through the world. How all the water connects to everything and everyone. But because of the things the men in her family does to her she has lost hope. She has lost the only thing she loves. Rosie doesn’t dream anymore. That is why she doesn’t believe in god, because how can a superior being do this to such an innocent girl. One that doesn’t deserve any of it. But what she does believe in is the world. And maybe it is just her life testing how strong warriors are until they break and die.

During Rosie’s summer, things got worse. Life, it seemed, was trying to kill this beautiful princess. All the awful things said to such a pretty innocent princess, living with so many scars that make her outsides ugly and the poison is getting to her heart and brain. She has started saying petrifying things to –herself that the others have tried to implant in her head, making her weak. And hell, did it 100% work. Her brain has been telling her to do awful things to herself like paint on her wrists with pointy things that bring out the paint that makes her cry. It’s hard to look at, maybe that is why she did it, so people will stop looking at her. Rosie got worse, and saw a pretty liquid in her castles cellar. There was a lot of it too. So she drank it all. And another and another. She found pretty circular objects in her bathroom cabinet next to the shiny objects she paints with. So all together with those things, Rosie was found on the ground, trying to become something that this world has not meant to be, and that’s dead. All the paint all over her pale pink dress, glass from the drinks in parts of her beautiful long hair, and pills down her throat. Her father found her and contemplated saving his gorgeous daughter.

He didn’t. The pretty princess died. She couldn’t handle being a warrior anymore. So she left the world. Went underground where all the other ex-warriors go. In a pale pink dress, with beautiful long hair, scars on her wrist, and pills down her throat and in her hand, reminding little ones that pretty princesses don’t all make the cut for Disney.
