Secretly in love

~One~

"Skye, we're getting late, get your fat ass down!" Jack yelled from downstairs. "God, just have some patience goddamnit" I yelled back, putting my mascara down. I grabbed my bag and my phone, texted Dani that we're on our way and I hurried down.

"I got your lunch here." I grabbed it and put it in my bag. "Yeah, you're welcome, everything for my baby sister." he said and I rolled my eyes. "Hey, you're only 2 minutes older as me." I said and he laughed, closing the door behind him.

We got in his car and drove to Dani's house, to pick her and Bradley up. 

"You guys are late." Bradley said. "Shut up and get in the car." I said. "Sassy much?" Dani said and I laughed. She gave Jack a kiss and got in the backseat. Jack started the car and drove to our school.

Our school. The school that has differtent groups of kids. Like, the populair ones, the nerd ones and then there's us, what they called the 'outstanders'. 

The populair ones don't want to be seen with us, because it will 'ruin there reputation'.  Why you ask me? I have no clue.

Little bit strange tho, because one of the cool kids happens to be Dani's brother, Luke Hemmings. Who is by the way, kinda hot though.

When the bell rang, Dani and I got over to our classes, while Bradley and Jack got to theirs.

"So," Dani started. "Still in love with my brother?" she said and I slapped her. "Dani! Shut up." I said and laughed. We got in class, in the back of the class as usual and grabbed our books.

"You know, Luke isn't always like this.. Only at school." I sighed. "I know, you told me like a hundred times.." I said, just drawing some lines on a paper. "You know, why is it that Luke is populair and you're not?" I asked.

"You asked me this since the day we became friends. To be honest, I have no idea why. Maybe because I don't really care about my reputation.." She said.

"Okay class, grab your books and open it on chapter 2, page 46 please." our teacher started the class, and so, the long day of school begins.

"So you guys up for a movie night at my place?" Dani asked. "Yes, totally." Bradley said. "Jack? Skye?" Jack looked at me and I nodded. "Alright, so after school we go to my place then." she said and smiled. "Will Luke be there?" I asked and she looked at me. "Yeah.. And probably  Calum and Micheal too.." she said and I looked down, nodding. "Is that so bad then? I mean, come on, they're hot.." Bradley said and I laughed. "I mean, didn't you had a crush on Luke?" I rolled my eyes. "Why is everyone asking that." 

Jack sighed. "You know, no offence Dani, but I wouldn't want Skye to date you're brother.." he said and she frowned. "And that's why..?" "He's a dick, Dani..." he said and she sighed. "Listen, my brother is actually not really a dick. Outside of school and when he's not with his friends he actually so sweet.." she said. "Then why wouldn't he talk to you in school? Why would he ignore you like you doesn't even exist.. Like you're not even his sister.. He should protect you, not bully you.." Jack said and I sighed. "Jack, stop it." "No, Skye, I want to know why.." "Jack, please, just drop it. I told you once.." "But.." "Jack!" "I'm sorry baby.. I just want you to be happy.." She smiled and nodded. The bell rang and we stood up, finishing our day of school.

After school, we got in Jack's car and drove to Dani's place. 

"Alright, I got blankets, pillows, popcorn and scary movies!" Dani said. Dani and I spread the blankets and pillows, Jack put in the movie and Bradley being Bradley, did nothing and made himself comfortable. I shook my head and crawled next to him, while Jack and Dani we're all cuddled up together.

"Oh god, look who's home." We heard Luke coming in in the middle of the movie. We heard the others laughing behind him. Dani sighed and paused the movie. "Can we just watch our movie without you guys annoying us?" she asked and Luke laughed. "Oh I'm sorry, we disturbed you?" he said and I sighed. "Just leave already." I muttered. "What did you say?" Luke asked. "Luke, leave her alone." Dani said and he rolled his eyes, walking upstairs to his room.

"I'm sorry." Dani said and I shrugged. "It's okay, just lets watch the movie." I said and she nodded. Bradley hold me closed and kissed my forehead. I swear, if that boy wasn't gay, I would date him by now..

But was it okay? No ofcourse not. I have liked this boy since Dani and I became friends, and that's been 7 years ago. Luke and I were actually friends.  No let me correct myself, best friends. We even had our own secret treehouse. I still know where it is and sometimes I still go there.. Just to remind myself of those days Luke weren't.. a asshole..

When the movie almost ended, Dani already had fallen asleep and I was about to. "Go to sleep, love." Bradley said and I nodded. I laid my head down on his chest and slowly fell asleep...
