Ever since day one, you and Adrien had been best friends. Of course, Chloe would always try to get in the middle of your bod, but your friendship was too strong. You both were inseparable.

But not for long.

On a bright and sunny school day, Adrien was chatting with Nino, catching up on a few things since Adrien had went on vacation on spring break. But as much as Adrien loves his best friend, he was really eager to see you.

"Bro, are you okay?" Nino asked. "You're acting like you're searching for someone?"

"I'm looking for (Y/N)" said Adrien as his head turns in all kinds of directions while looking for you. "I've missed her so much." Adrien's eyes widen and they fall back on Nino. "Oh and don't think that I didn't miss you too!"

"I know you did, dude" Nino laughed. "I can tell by the way you hugged me."

Adrien laughs, but paused when he heard you shout his name down the hall. He swiftly spun around and saw you sprinting towards him with a huge on your face.

"(Y/N)!" Adrien shouted happily, opening his arms.

You ran into him, nearly making him fall backwards. You wrapped your arms tightly around his waist as you squealed with excitement. "Don't ever leave again!" you said.

He laughed. "I'll try not to."

His smile faded and so did the happiness in his eyes when he saw a tall dude dressed in a black leather coat with shaggy blonde hair approach you three. Adrien pulled away from your tight embrace and asked, "Who are you?"

"I'm Ash" he said. "and who are you and why are you hugging my girlfriend?"

(Hi, author here. Just wanted to clarify that the Ash in this story ISN'T the Ash from Pokémon. He's just some character I made up. I regret not using a better name, but oh well)

Adrien's brows pulled together. "Girlfriend?" he questioned.

"Oh yeah!" you said, excitedly skipping over to your boyfriend. "This is my boyfriend, Ash. We met over spring break."

"Boyfriend?" he said with disbelief.

"Yep" said Ash, proudly wrapping his arm around your shoulders and pulling you closer to his body. "Caught myself an angel."

Adrien didn't know how he felt about this Ash dude, but for some reason he didn't like the way he had his arm around you.

"Congrats, my dudes!" Nino said happily.

"Y-yeah," Adrien said, trying his best not to let his disappointment show. "Congrats"

But you noticed. "Hey, are you okay?"

"Yeah? Why?" he said with a forced smile.

"I don't know, you just seem...drained"

He felt like it. "Sorry it's just...uhh...I ate some bad pizza today and it's making me feel a little nauseous." he lied.

"Duuuudddeee I hate it when that happens!" Nino said while throwing his arms up with frustration.

You look at Adrien with a small frown. Unconvinced by his words, you say, "Are you sure? Because it doesn't sound like you're telling the truth."

"(Y/N), have a ever lied to you?"

Your eyes trail down to the floor with thought. "No," you sighed. "but-"

"But nothing." Adrien steps closer to you, resting a gentle hand upon your shoulder with a small smile. "I am very happy for you, (Y/N). I hope that you two will hit it off."

Adrien could not even explain how hard it was for him to say those words, but seeing that smile appear on your face made it all worth it.

And so with a hug, you grabbed your boyfriend by the hand and you both walked off, receiving a few awes from a  folks down the hall. Adrien's smile slowly faded as you two disappeared, a sad sigh escaping his lips soon after you were out of sight. He wanted to be happy for you, but for some reason, seeing you with him didn't feel right.

"Bro, are you okay?" Nino asked.

"Hm? Oh uhh sure! Yeah! I'm fine." said Adrien while blinking a couple of times to escape his thoughts.

"You sure? You look upset."

"Upset? No. Why would I be upset?"

Nino lifted a brow. "I dunno you tell me"

"I'm not upset, I'm just..." he pauses. "sick is all." Nino goes to speak, but was interrupted when Adrien spoke once more. "I need to go to the bathroom." Adrien hurried to the bathroom, leaving his concerned and confused friend behind.
