You had returned to the other world and were still heart broken over the past events with Echo and Simon.
"Ah, you made it back. ... Why are you crying?" White Rabbit asked. You didn't want to answer her.
"One world at a time, is it... what a bother. Well, fair enough. You recovered one of them. I'll collect everything you picked up in the world as well. These will soon vanish at any rate... Gretel seems to be hanging on by a thread now and the torn pages... I'll put these together."
You hand White Rabbit the torn pages and anything else you collected except for the shards of XXXX.
"Here you are." White Rabbit said as she handed you back a burgundy notebook. "Now then, I'll open the door to the next world. I'm counting on you once more."
"What do you do here?" You finally spoke.
"... I don't do anything here." White Rabbit answered.
"Why?" You questioned.
"Isn't it too much bother? Time and events are pre-decided and I just live in that flow. It's much too much of a pain to go against the grain. I do ask that you recover the keys as quick as possible though. If you don't, it may be that the doors won't open anymore at all." White Rabbit explained.
You entered the next room finding the Cheshire Cat standing in front of the sign once again.
"She came up with all the rules of these worlds, y'know. I wouldn't make nothin' like that, but just give it time, she says! Makes all the dumb rules, she does! Bah, but we just gotta follow 'em... 'cause if we don't we'll get punished." Cheshire Cat ranted.
You give Cheshire Cat a weird look based on what she's talking about.
"What? Can't a girl talk about what she likes?" Cheshire Cat questioned demandingly.
"What you like isn't normal though." You stated.
"What you consider normal's gonna vary from person to person. Wow, you look like a wreck. Don't need to get so worked up about somebody you just met. Doesn't that just wear you out?" Cheshire Cat questioned.
You teared up again remembering Echo and Simon. You wanted this conversation to end now!
"Oho... or did you forget all that, too?" Cheshire Cat questioned.
"How do you know?" You questioned sassily.
"I know everything, 'cause I stole 'em. Not giving it back, 'course. So tell me, is it really empty inside ya? Is there even the slightest kind of anything?" Cheshire Cat questioned.
"Might be." You answered.
"Heh. Not really seein' it, myself. Hey, it's time. Bye now." Cheshire Cat disappeared as usual.
