Mabel's POV
I took one last look at the room in the Fear-A-Mid, today was the day. The door closed behind me with a soft thud. I sighed, even though I had actually grown to this place. Me and Gideon have become good friends, I helped Dipper make plans, then I fooled around with those plans. Even the other demons were not as bad as I'd originally thought. The truth was I would miss this place, because for the first time in a long time I could be blissfully happy.
Back in the bunker even when I was laughing with my friends, there was this tense atmosphere. We all knew things were bad and yet we put on fake smiles and pretended. Not here though, here the demons are genuinely happy. In truth, I felt a little bad for them. Pyronica explained how bad things had gotten in their dimension, and now we were trying to send them back to that. I wish we could have worked something out so we could have all lived together, but that was just wishful thinking. I walked on to the Fear-A-Mids entrance where our rides were waiting.
Unlike humans who used the Doombuggy's to get around, Dipper had gotten current demons to ride. These demons were as large as a horse, with a broad chest long neck and the head of a snake. I saw Dipper standing next to him, I stroked the beast like you would a pet. His was the largest of all of ours, it was probably the mother. My riding demon had dark purple scales with a light purple line of scales going around it's forehead like a crown. Dipper had explained that the male riding demons were colorful, while the females were duller but had larger teeth and claws than the male. Mine was obviously male, so I decided to call him prince because of his scaled crown. I watched the Dipper mounted his dragon in a flawless movement, his cape fluttering out behind him. The other demons waited for Dippers command, those who could fly didn't need riding demon. The henchmaniacs however were taking Bill's car, I mounted Prince and clung to the demons reins, I silently prayed that the saddles had been strapped on properly. In front of me Gideon nervously climbed his own riding demon.
Gideon's demon was a small stout thing, with a short muzzle and baby blue scales but the largest green eyes. Gideon took the reins gingerly, he seemed quite scared. You'd think that after all the crazy things he's seen and been through, that things like this wouldn't make him so jumpy. Before I could say some words of encouragement to Gideon, Dipper's demon let out a loud roar. The whole Fear-A-Mid went quiet, Dipper kicked the sides of his demon making it rear up with a screech before flying out of the triangular entrance. The demons let out loud cheers following after Dipper, I kicked Prince while gently flicking the reins. Prince dashed forward Gideon's demon going after mine.
Prince leapt from the ledge of the Fear-A-Mid entrance and launched us into the air his wings stretching out from his sides. I let out a loud a scream of joy as I watched the ground speed thousand of miles beneath me. I loved the adrenaline that made my body shake and my heart beat a thousand times per minute, it made me feel alive. Behind me Gideon clung onto his demon for dear life, his face completely drained of colour. Maybe not everyone enjoyed the rush. I urged Prince to go faster, then I quickly and on purpose dropped the reins. I leaned forward making Prince dip forward, my stomach dropped as we went closer and closer to the ground. I grabbed the reins and pulled up at the last moment, letting out a whoop as we soared above the heads of the others. Dipper turned his head in my direction and gave me a warning glare, I steered prince back into the line before giving him a sheepish grin. I brought myself back to reality, this wasn't a joy ride, this wasn't for fun. I scolded myself until the entrance to the base was just in sight.
Bill's P.O.V
White...
That's all I can see...
Pain...
It's all I can feel...
I was fighting the darkness that was starting to cloud my vision, trying to force myself to think of something, anything to take my mind off the agony. How long have I been here, being Sixer's guinea pig? Unwillingly helping him make weapons, that he would use against my people. I wished I had the strength to break the bonds that held me, I wanted it to end... my emotions mixed and churned into one jumbled mess. I wanted to cry, but I was too dehydrated, I wanted to laugh, but I'd lost my voice. All I could do was lie here, listening as my blood fell down from the table like a leaky faucet...
Drip...
Drip...
Drip....
'Just a little longer' I told myself.
'Someone will come, just hold on a little longer....'
I shook my head, what I liar I am. Then I heard it the distant scream of the alarm, the faint voices of the humans shouting above me. A spark of energy went through me, familiar, a little different but unmistakable.
Pinetree
He came for me, I smiled my body relaxed and I let myself slip into the cool darkness.
